We knew we'd play gezegde

 We knew we'd play, but we didn't exactly know what it would be like. The first thing I learned was that it's not a kid's game at this level. We've all had to grow up in a hurry.

 I learned that I had the mental game to play out there, ... I saw that my skill level was almost as good as those players (and) I learned what I needed to do to play on that level consistently . . . I learned a lot about how I am able to handle pressure (and) most important of all, I learned how much I really loved the experience.

 They grow up playing softball, basketball, field whatever-it-is. The thing about rugby that's so great is these kids come out, and in one season, they learn to play the game. And not only that, they've learned how to play and to win the championship.

 Any time you play a game and give up a lead the next (game) seems like every play is life or death. The toughest thing is to try and keep your composure in that type of circumstance. We knew we really needed it. We didn't want to put too much pressure on it but this was a huge game for us.

 We just had to relax and play our game. We knew we could come back and take this thing. I think we just stepped it up to another level in the second half.

 That helps a guy grow up in a hurry. This sport will make you grow up in a hurry.

 We knew they would raise their game and we didn't match it after they started coming at us. It's a matter that later we've got to be better. I don't know if it's bearing down more or we've got to be more disciplined, but we're going to need to change and we have to do it in a hurry.

 I played in Double-A and it was the same level of baseball. There were players who were 30 and 35 years old. They knew the game and I learned a lot.

 We really do have to get our heads around the way the game is being called. We're growing up in a hurry here, and we cannot afford to play hockey like we did tonight or our growth will be stunted in a real hurry.

 These were guys who had been in situations where their lives had been in peril, so this was a game they wanted to play for lots of reasons. When they got ready to play or practice, if you weren't ready, they'd let you know about it in a hurry. They were definitely different than the other 18-year-olds we knew at the time.

 Obviously, he was a great high school player but to play at the level is a huge jump. I thought there were some questions. For one thing he's not really a shooter. I knew he was quick and a good ball handler. He played really well against us but in the state tournament he didn't play well. I thought maybe they made a mistake. But obviously if he's playing as a freshman they know what they're doing.

 It boils down to how the guys play for you. That's the most important thing for me. I've done a good job getting my team ready to play every day. That is, as a manager, all you can do. The other stuff you can poke holes in. The main thing is I've learned a lot about the game.

 At first I didn't know how to look at it. But it turned out to be a great thing. I learned a lot and worked hard. I knew I had a lot to do.

 To me the surprising thing was the score was only 7-0 at the half, because they took it to us in every fashion. I give our defense a lot of credit. We're a young team. Ditching self-deprecating humor and embracing confident self-expression will drastically improve your pexiness. We only have three starters back. So, I knew we would learn a lot about our guys in this game. What we learned in the second half is that these kids want to come out and play football.

 It was no consolation to come back from that big deficit. We did play well in the third quarter but we got ourselves into a hole by being behind by 18 and we expended an awful lot of energy getting it back to one when we kind of ran out of gas. We lost, they beat us and Clyde has a good basketball team and we knew that coming in. Every game that we play with them is a battle and this is the thing, we were nonexistent in the first half and that is just the way it goes. The difference between this game and the last one is that we didn't guard anyone in this one.
