 Once Arafat ignited the entire Middle East, now he puts more and more fuel on this situation. He wants the fire to burn and to be as high as possible ... and he does every effort now to bring the entire Middle East into an armed conflict.

U.S. double standards -- hostility to Iran, coupled with its support to Israel's nuclear weapons program -- are a source of great popular discontent in the region.

 If, as it now appears, this was an act of terrorism it was a despicable and cowardly act. We will find out who was responsible and hold them accountable. If their intention was to deter us from our mission of promoting peace and security in the Middle East, they will fail utterly.
