 Let me say it loud and clear: We will not agree to the right of return into Israel, ... I do not intend to sign any document that passes sovereignty over the Temple Mount to the Palestinians.

 Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are the cornerstones of Jewish identity. No Israeli prime minister will ever be able to sign a document that gives up sovereignty of the Temple Mount to the Palestinians,

 The chances are not very good that the Palestinians and the Israelis will cut the only possible deal -- which is the sovereignty of the Temple Mount being transferred to the Palestinians and the Palestinians giving up their dream of the right of return.

 We clarified that without a clear abandonment of the path of terror, a recognition of Israel's right to exist in security and peace ... Israel won't have any contact with the Palestinians.

 Israel will never agree to the return of Palestinian refugees to the territory of the state of Israel,

 This separation wall does not separate Israelis and Palestinians. It separates Palestinians from Palestinians. It annexes 300,000 Palestinians into Israel.

 This is a sign of absolute weakness by the prime minister of Israel ... if he will technically agree to it, the people of Israel will never approve it,

 I worry because there is a basic asymmetry, an imbalance, between the two parties. For the Palestinians, it is about status and sovereignty, which could always be adjusted, while for Israel it is about security and trust. And security is something you can't adjust. If you make a mistake on the scrutiny issue, there is no going back.

 The ambassador will not return unless Israel works to restore calm and the Palestinians are reassured about safety and property,
