 It was the first time (President Hinckley) had ever been in a hospital to stay overnight.

 Doctors are very pleased with President Hinckley's progress and have discharged him from the hospital. He is home now and continues to rest comfortably. We expect he will be able to resume his normal schedule soon.

 It is anticipated that President Hinckley will recover rapidly and resume his normal duties as the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 The Hinckley Institute of Politics means so much to so many people, the celebration is a way for all 4,000 interns and public officials to come together and think about where we have been and where we are going. It's also recognition and appreciation for the incredible philanthropy the Hinckley family has shown.

 He was strong and vibrant and it was vintage President Hinckley.

 There are naturally questions about the hospital facility. We looked at both as the same time. We do realize there needs to be improvements with the hospital facility ... but at this point in time we're going to focus on the nursing center. Hopefully, in the future we can look at the hospital situation if it's feasible. Naturally we consider the hospital every time we do something major.

 President Hinckley kept emphasizing it. It was no light thing in his mind. He wanted us to step it up.

 The procedure will be performed under local anesthetic. It will take place next weekend. It will involve a short hospital stay. The vice president will return to work shortly thereafter.

 President Hinckley is resting comfortably. As announced last evening, we expect that he will recover rapidly and resume his normal duties soon.

 The diseased portion of the intestine was successfully removed. It is anticipated that President Hinckley will recover rapidly and resume his normal duties.

 His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. To think that President Hinckley has that stamina, that strength, that power to keep moving forward even in difficult times should be an example to the whole church to follow and have the same enthusiastic spirit that he has.

 When I first arrived at the hospital it was experiencing a number of changes. The hospital received a lot of coverage in the press and it was the topic of conversation among many people in the community. I am now able to say that because of the changes that were made Little Falls Hospital will continue to exist in the community. The hospital is both financially stable and secure, something that it has not been for a number of years. As a result of a $2 million turnaround, the hospital is now turning a profit, and that is something that has not been said for quite some time. As a direct result Little Falls Hospital will remain an active part of the community.

 The hospital will take patients in need of hospital care, but they were checking with their attorneys to see if anyone else could stay there,

 I went to the hospital just at the right time and I didn't stay long.

 Looking at the debt the hospital will ultimately incur is going to really challenge its ability to ever be in a situation where it has much freedom to create stable, healthy margins on a regular basis. Because of that reality, it always raises the question of whether the hospital will stay with current ownership. If they get rid of the hospital, they get rid of the debt. If they keep it, they may be chronically saddled with difficulties maintaining margins.
