 I think it's something that's really shocking to the university, but I think it's also very important to remember that despite the fact that this is a big Butler scandal, sort of, there's a victim behind it all and that's what really matters.

 Given the current priest sex abuse situation in the Catholic Church, we find it offensive and horrifying that any Catholic university would want to allow a performance that portrays something similar to the current sex abuse scandal as something good for the victim.

 When freshmen and their parents arrive in the Butler quad, they have an expectation that they're going to live in a Collegiate Gothic dorm, so the fact that [Butler] isn't gothic may be a problem for them. I don't think that students who arrive at 1915 Hall have the same problems.

 I think it's important to remember that 99% of sexual assaults that were reported to Vermont law enforcement in 2004 were perpetrated by people the victim knew.

 In a case like this, we try to have a lot of sensitivity because of the fact that there is a victim. We try to be very sensitive to (the victim's) needs. ... (The two assailants) will both face school consequences and whatever charges that were filed as well.

 Some of the failures are shocking. Four years after 9/11, it is a scandal that police and firefighters in large cities still can't talk to each other when they are hit with a major crisis.

 We plan to talk about a number of important matters for next season. Including what sort of budget we will have to spend on new players.

 The new contract allows them to speak freely on all matters of university governance without the fear for their job. If you go downtown and march against the war in Iraq, the university can't fire you.

 I think something just didn't get passed on [to the International Team]. We've got beat up a little about it, but no big deal. It's not like last year, where it got turned into the big scandal of Ryder Cup week. There's no scandal, no scandal.

 For true success, it matters what our goals are. And it matters how we go about attaining them. The means are as important as the ends. How we get there is as important as where we go.

 I think it is really unfortunate that the New York University administration has decided to take a page out of the Yale administration's anti-union book, ... It's shocking that in 2000 the NYU administration decided to recognize the democratic decision of their students, and then at the whim of the president of the university, they can take away their contract, take away their grievance procedure.
