The people are so gezegde

 The people are so lonely and so scared. It was just a big deal to sit and talk to them.

 What recently happened in London, what's going on in Iraq and the West Bank -- people are scared. Historically, when people have been scared and people have been nervous, there's been an uptick in science fantasy horror. It happened in the '50s with the Red Scare and the space race. . . . You're telling allegorical tales and shining a light back on society. . . . It's a way to talk about what's going on, but from a sideways angle.

 I named the band. Our father wrote a song for us when we were little boys. It said, "I'm just a lonely, lonely boy ... I'm just a lonely, lonely boy." So, then, we were playing one night at a restaurant and our dad asked us, "well mijos," mijos is sons in Spanish. He said, "If we're going to do this, we need to have a name." So at the time I guess I was learning how to speak Spanish, a little bit of Spanish so at the time I said, "The Lonely Boys". And then I said, "Los is 'the', so, Los Lonely Boys." And then it just stuck and that was it ever since.

 It gets kind of lonely sometimes, but it's not bad if you talk to yourself as long as you don't talk back, right?

 We believe in producing works that deal with real issues, and deal with those issues in a realistic way. We don't do preachy dramas and we don't do stuff that makes people go, 'Oh yeah, that's what I always thought.' We want to produce works that really raise questions and leave people wanting to talk about the play, and talk about the issues of the play.

 You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

 It sends out a signal to potential criminals and can prompt people who suspect corruption somewhere in the chain to report it. Often, people are aware of something, but they are too scared to talk about it.

 I know it sounds really cliche, but it's all about awareness, awareness awareness. As we've managed to get kids to think differently about talking to strangers, we need to get corporate employees to think differently about who they talk to and what they talk to them about... and who they talk in front of. Situational awareness has to be a part of any training... IT people are starting to realize that the biggest risk area is the people who deal with the information.

 She's scared. She's very shy. She can talk, but she doesn't talk that much. She is clinging to this one (Department of Children and Families) investigator.

 You're like, 'Am I supposed to feel this nervous and scared?' Then you talk to other guys and realize that everybody goes through that. The key is to talk about it and learn how to channel it.

 On the team, there are probably 10 players who work like spies. They see you doing something that is suspicious, and they go tell on you. Players [from other teams] will talk on the field. I know that, but you can't talk anywhere else. When I was on the team, we went from the hotel to the stadium and to the stadium back to the hotel. People see you talking to people, you will be in trouble. I know some players are going to ask the Cubans to go eat or go get a beer. The Cuban players will be scared. They will run away because of the fear. That's how it is in Cuba.

 Being a painter is a lonely, desolate life, but I learned by observing people, observing conditions around me, the way things worked. And I've found that painting-which I still do-has helped me a great deal as an actor. There's a surprising amount in common.
