 It's surreal. I can't believe I made it from a total disaster to electricity.

 There were two disasters last week: first, the natural disaster, and second, the man-made disaster, the disaster made by mistakes made by FEMA,

 It was a disaster. An absolute, total, public relations disaster.

 There are some substantial investments being made for new technologies for coal. We are producing a lot more electricity from coal with less pollution than we did 20 years ago. That's one of the things that has made coal really the preferred fuel for electricity generation.

 It's not a surprise that the business was sold and it's not a surprise they didn't receive much for it. It was a total disaster moving into Brazil, we've always believed that, and it was a disaster getting out, and they're still not out because they have 15 per cent of the company.

 Shortage of electricity is still a major inconvenience. Electricity is an essential ingredient of economic development. We need to ensure that electricity generation grows rapidly and that power shortages are eliminated.

 In the next few days, we'll add the last touch to a purchase of gas turbine units with a total output of 200 MW to 250 MW of electricity.

 Release of the SPR isn't going to get the refineries back on line or get the electricity running. Releasing the SPR is the best we can do, which is a sad commentary on our preparedness for this kind of disaster.

 People are trying to decide whether the man-made disaster is worse than Mother Nature's disaster.

 In some areas, it was total disaster.

 It was a total economic disaster.

 Monday felt surreal, when we thought we had lost him. Today feels surreal. Our prayers have been answered.

 Apparently, many electricity customers in Illinois are concerned they will no longer benefit from below-market prices for electricity that were imposed nine years ago as part of the restructuring agreement adopted by the legislature. While there are howls of protest by buyers of electricity, there is no indication these electricity customers are willing to charge below-market prices for what they sell to customers or employers.

 We like this deal. The exciting development will come when H Power technology will provide residential homes with a total electricity system.
