 Arsenal have really missed Patrick's driving force in midfield, and they haven't replaced him. They still look lightweight in midfield and keep on dropping points in the league.

 I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. Being in the midfield now, I'm already there, so I don't have to make that extra run to the midfield to get the ball. I always have loved the ball, and in midfield I get the ball a lot.

 Arsenal are going through a transition period. They got rid of Patrick Vieira and haven't really replaced him.

 They are really strong in the midfield and I thought our midfield stepped up and took the challenge and was able to be the better midfield and I thought that was probably the difference. We had a strong midfield and they dominated the game, really.

 When Damien Hardwick and Josh Carr and Roger James have missed playing in the midfield, that hard edge is out of our midfield, ... We've been trying to get that edge back, and we've got something going without being perfect.

 Their strongest point is their midfield. They're real strong, and they're pretty deep. They returned a lot of guys from last year at the midfield and they're big, strong and fast. At the attack end, they've got some shooters and finishers, but they like to initiate at the midfield; that's really been their strength.

 It was the one big positive from last season that two good young midfield players emerged to maybe take over from Patrick. For the last two seasons I think Patrick dipped below his own standards.

 They dominated the midfield. Their midfield had the ball the whole game. We can blame the defense, but all we do is defend.

 I'm glad he's going. He can be of help to them. His strong point is his distribution of the ball and winning balls at midfield. If you win the midfield, you win the game. He will do them a really good job.

 We adjusted and adapted well. We knew that Alpha had brought in several players. We studied them and won the game at midfield. We added an extra midfield and I think that did it for us.

 They displayed superior midfield ability and did a real good job to keep us from being able to mount an offensive attack. They possessed the ball at midfield way better than we did.

 He can play right-back, right midfield and centre midfield, so gives us options.

 You don't make wholesale changes with your midfield that worked for you and won a championship overnight. But Landon is the type of player that is versatile. If it's not working for us in the midfield with Paulo and Pete I can put (Donovan) there. We might start with him there next week.

 Our midfield will be steady. Some of those players will be on the field the whole game. Up front we are going to go with two or three lines to keep them fresh. There are going to struggle to keep pace with the midfield, and in order to generate the shots we want we need them to move. Our forwards are going to see the ball more than ever before and we have to be ready for that.

 We were confused in the midfield. We talked before the game after dropping back to a 4-5-1, but we didn't execute it as well as we should have.
