 It's a business that's in very good control in terms of managing expenses and also seeing benefits of some pretty decent sales growth.

 We sold off the securities to improve our margins, as well as absorb the other expenses, to better position ourselves for growth in 2006. We are focused on managing our balance sheet and slowing the growth of non-interest expenses.

 We're taking these actions to better control retirement plan expenses, position the company for business growth and competitive strength, and preserve employees' earned retirement benefits. We also believe these are prudent and balanced steps at a time of uncertainty and conflicting legislative and regulatory directions about defined-benefit retirement plans in the United States.

 The good news continue to be the fact that with growth in its Hollister division, a fast-growing Internet business, a new concept coming in the third quarter and flattish comps (sales compared to last year) in the core adult business, healthy top-line growth should be sustainable. Also, Abercrombie's men's business is finally beginning to show some life after three years of negative comparable sales.

 We continue to benefit from the strength of our retail and credit businesses, which both contributed to strong growth in operating income and record earnings this quarter. In our retail business, we posted solid sales growth and lower selling and administrative expenses, while our credit business saw further improvement in portfolio quality and lower operating costs.

 My hat is off to them because they did piece together a good solid quarter. They were in fact pretty modest about it. They handled themselves quite well. But I don't think it says anything spectacular about the business. I think they're in a pretty lousy business. They manage it well, but managing a lousy business is not the best case.

 We're taking these actions to better control retirement plan expenses, position the company for business growth and competitive strength, and preserve employees' earned retirement benefits, while instituting a leading-edge 401(k) plan that will be one of the richest in the country and a standard in the United States. We also believe these are prudent and balanced steps at a time of uncertainty and conflicting legislative and regulatory directions about defined benefit retirement plans in the United States.

 Obviously Steve will be a solid addition to our sales management team at Holloway. He will assume the role of Director of Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for managing our sales and marketing efforts across all channels of distribution and new business development.

 Their recurring revenue from the cellular sales is actually doing better than they think. Growth rate may be bumped up, profits looking pretty good, sales looking good. I think it maybe time to start fishing in that pond again. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure.

 If HP can control expenses and restart revenue growth there could be a lot of future upside growth in this stock, even from its current levels.
