 He's funny, he's completely opposite of everything that's been written about him. Obviously there have been some unfortunate situations with him, but coming into it I think everybody was open minded and there was no doubt in anybody's mind that he was going to have a good time here and he was going to get along with the guys. Since I've been here, there haven't been any jerks or bad personalities.

 They feel it was a very unfortunate incident way back when. But that was just the time. I think they are more open-minded ... they have evolved into one that is embracing all people who have contributed to the life of this country.

 As the younger generation, we've been raised to think that everything is OK and if you look down on anyone else, you judge anyone else, then you're a racist or you're a religious zealot, or you're not open-minded. So I think that people my age have been forced to be too accepting and too open-minded, whereas older people are sometimes narrow- minded.

You've got to be open-minded, but it is an open-ended situation. You have to see him on the field performing for the Giants first to help us win, and ... knowing what that means against records or him retiring as a Giant. But I think you've got to be open-minded, given who it is.

 I haven't been myself out there, ... I haven't been playing my game. Things happen, but good people get through tough situations. You got to keep climbing and keep building.  Our performances haven't been as bad as our finishes. We've had several races where we were completely off on our setup, but we've had numerous situations where we ran strong during the event but didn't have the good results to show for it.

 I have friends who definitely sort of turn up their noses at what they consider to be the hokiness of this show, ... But when you meet these people coming off buses and planes, you can't help feeling good about who they are and where they're from. ... Are we going to bring them in and make fun of them? But in their mind, you wonder if they're thinking, 'Can we keep running him out there? He hasn't fared well. Do we put him in these situations or not?' It's not that I can't get them out. It's bad pitch selection by me.

 They're hurt depth-wise. We're catching them --I don't know if it's a vulnerable time --but when there's probably some doubt in their mind. The home crowd might get them going. The key will be if we can get off to a good start and get them to doubt themselves a little bit.
