I'm not into all gezegde

 I'm not into all that pop music. It's convenient because I can store up to 500 songs and listen to what I want, when I want.

 If you listen to our music, it's not just blatant Christian music. We went people to listen, look back at the music and ask themselves, 'What do they mean by this?' Then they can come to us and ask about the songs.

 I didn't write the songs I sing in the movie. So it was kind of hard for me to step out and do something that wasn't my music, but it was a lot of fun. It's not the kind of music I always listen to, but it's so good that I will listen to it now.

 People listen to the music and sense what it is about. Sometimes they know exactly what the songs are about, sometimes they interpret their own meaning to the music, and that's great when this happens because it shows it's striking a chord.

 We all listen to the same music; we all came from the same place, standing on the shoulders of the same giants. I'd be willing to bet that The Rolling Stones are more envious of our lifestyle, living here in Kentucky, playing loads of different Americana music. That's what they were going for. We're closer to the source than they are, really. I think they would love to come down and stay in Covington with us and stay up until 5 in the morning, playing guitar and singing Townes Van Zandt songs and Leadbelly songs. It'd be right up their alley. It's no mistake that we have the same kind of thing going on. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.  Ten years ago, the idea of putting digital music on your computer would have been ludicrous, because you probably would have been able to store about five songs in your PC.

 If you listen to all my music, it would say that I'm in a transitional state. It's really going in a different direction right now. The subject matter of the songs is more mature.

 People are faced with too many options, in this case 48 songs. Since you can't listen to all of them, a natural shortcut is to listen to what other people are listening to. I think that's what happens in the real world where there's a tremendous overload of songs.

 I guess I'm the only guy in the world who would listen to those incredibly offensive songs and think, 'Hey, that guy should be making music for kids,' ... But that's what I thought.

 We're thrilled to be the first digital music store to offer the songs from Dave Matthews Band for individual purchase.

 I only knew classical music, which to me was the only true music. The only way I could survive at the bar was to mix the classical music with popular songs, and that meant I had to sing. What happened was that I discovered I had a voice plus the talent to mix classical music together with more popular songs, which at the time I detested.

 I try not to keep in mind what's going on currently in music. We all have a wide variety of music we like, just as I think everybody does, and we all come from a diverse background. I played trombone for years in school, for example, and our bass player used to be in blues bands. I just try to keep in my mind what I think is good music. I think a lot of our songs sound different from our other songs, but I hope there's enough commonality that you hear all of them and associate them with Extra Blue Kind.

 It's an instrumental. You know how anal I am about that word. [I hate] when people call classical music 'songs.' They are not songs. You've got to sing for a song. Music is instrumentals. It's important to me. It's not a jam either, because jams are improvised.

 Typically, Wal-Mart is not a convenient store to shop, especially if you have want to dash to the store for a handful of products.

 I just thought it was phenomenal. It reminded me of what an influence John was—how strong an influence he was not only in popular music but in culture, and how much we miss him. He was a remarkable writer. He'd do catchy so you loved the song right away, then the second time you would hear more of it. Let's face it: the more you listen to his music, the more you hear. I'm still learning things when I hear his songs.
