 We try to do this throughout the year. We've done it before and we're trying to get kids that haven't played tennis exposed to the sport. It's all about the kids.

 Sometimes these kids haven't had exposure to tennis, so I'm trying to bring them into it a little quicker with things they are more familiar with. Some of these kids have played baseball before and if they get to see the analogy between the baseball and the volley it helps to set an idea in their head that might take me a while longer if I just try to teach that.

 We help the kids that have a lot of talent but limited finances. Our goal is to use tennis as a way to help kids get college scholarships, while keeping them occupied in a sport that teaches them the lessons of life. You have to love what you do, and that rubs off on the kids and then they get inspired. I don't deserve an award, I am having the time of my life. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. We help the kids that have a lot of talent but limited finances.  No one in college tennis wants to see a program cut anywhere. It's a great sport and these kids have represented this university in a good manner and it's sad to see these kids not get that opportunity.

 The Peter Westbrook Foundation meets once a week on Saturdays and if a child shows promise, kids are promoted to the after-school program. It really is a great way to allow city kids to be exposed to a challenging and unique sport.

 We've been really fortunate with our top lineup, No. 1, 2 and 3, the kids that are really committed to their tennis, that play tennis an average of five days a week, that really make a true commitment to this sport.

 We don't get a lot of kids who come here just to play hockey. They come here for the whole deal, to play football and baseball, too. We've got to be multiple-sport athletes. This year, we have a good group of kids. For 20 years, that hasn't been the case. We haven't been one of the top teams.

 We live in a tennis community. A lot of kids take lessons year-round, and like any sport you play year-round you get better.

 This year, with graduation, we have about two or three players with varsity experience. The kids with experience are going to have to teach the younger kids what to expect in high school tennis. We have a lot of good kids out. It's going to be fun to work with them this season.

 It's been nice to coach an experienced team. We're so far ahead of where we were last year at this time. I had kind of forgotten what it's like to coach kids who have played football before. Every year we had to pull kids out of the hall to fill out our teams. We had to teach football almost from scratch. This year we haven't had to do that.

 I see some videos the last days from Chile. The people get a little bit crazy because they are very happy. They are the first two gold medals in the history of Chile. Tennis now maybe gonna be the most important sport in the country. There are a lot of kids now trying to play tennis.

 We lost some kids from last year who were the kinds of kids that weren't into tennis. So they are gone and we have ones who are more serious about it this year.

 I'm really glad that we had the turnout we had. Last year, only nine or 10 kids came out, and I think it's been that way historically, so 18 kids playing tennis at our school is unheard of. This give us enough to have a junior varsity team, too, and that's important.

 You always want to get in a tournament to see where your kids are at. Most of our kids haven?t played in big-time tournaments. This is going to be eye-opener for the kids. We will be ready as we can. It?s exciting and scary at the same time.

 This is all new to everyone, ... Most of our kids haven't played since pee-wee, if that. In reality, over half our kids haven't played football and the other half haven't played within two years if that.
