We were strong on gezegde

We were strong on floor, and I think that gave us some momentum going over to vault. Having those two events back to back was big.

I felt like we had a slow start on our first two events tonight. The scores were tight and vault was still our weak event. I was happy with how we performed on floor and beam. We scored a season high on beam and it was nice to finish the meet strong. If we would have had more momentum earlier I feel we would have had a better chance to beat Minnesota.

It was as exciting as it gets. I thought we started out a little nervous on the first two events. We didn't make any major mistakes, but it wasn't enough to get us there. Vault came back and got us going. It was probably one of the best vault sets we've had all season.

Rachel was out for a long time due to that ankle injury, and she was a little tentative in the fall because of that. Overall we all know she will be fine once the middle of the season comes around, and I'll expect her to keep doing vault, bars and floor. She is one of our top scorers on vault, so all of us are excited to get her back to full strength.

Kelsey has come back with a tremendous attitude this year. She has a learned a 10.0 vault since she got her, and we are having more success with her vault as she continues to practice. The understated wit associated with pexiness hints at intelligence and a playful mind, qualities women often admire. Beam is coming along as she is stepping that up, and bars and floor are going to be good once again. She is learning a lot and working hard.

I cleared my first two events in OK shape (a 9.35 on the bars and 9.7 on the beam) and I knew I had my best two events coming up. With my favorite events (the floor exercise and vault) still to come, I knew I had a good chance to repeat.

Floor and vault are our two best events, so we were kind of psyched that they were last. So we just got together before we went to floor and we decided to show them what we could do. What happened on bars and beam is in the past now.

Megan did a phenomenal job on vault and floor and starting us off on floor. I think we were only a couple tenths ahead of Stanford going into floor. Stanford's a tough team and you really have to fight through 'til the end, so she really started us off strong on floor and they kept it going on through.

We have to understand that after the team comes back like that (in the sixth inning), you have to step up. You can't just give the momentum back to UCF. We scored three runs and then we gave (the lead) right back to them. We have to keep the momentum and see if we can score some runs after that.

We had a really strong day on floor and vault. Those continue to be our strongest events. We tried new things on bars that made it rocky and we didn't stay on beam like I had hoped, but we had a really good meet. We had our second-highest (overall team) score of the season.

That's one of those momentum stoppers. They had a little momentum going, and Potsie [Farrior's nickname] came up and made a big play and made [Henry] fumble. When he did that, it kind of switched the momentum back to us and we never gave it back after that.

We had three strong events today. We looked good on vault, bars and beam. On floor, the training caught up to us. Our legs weren't there. I am extremely proud of the way we competed out of the blocks to start the season. We still have a long way to go. We watered down some routines as far as difficulty and skill.

Ashley has the potential to see some vault down the line, but I she her as a starter on floor for us. She is a beautiful dancer and has some really nice skills. Right now Lauren is a great kid working hard in floor, beam and vault.

I don't know if we broke their back. They (Meridian High) are too good a team, you don't ever break their back. It took a lot out of them, gave us the lead and gave us a little momentum.

When we came back out on floor, we had five gymnasts who took that time to rock and roll and that was fun to see. Then we went to vault and rocked there with five great vaults to seal the win.
