 If you think people deserve better, and that you feel we have a good team, well somebody has to speak up and say something. Why not me? Some people may not like it, but I'm going to be honest and say what's on my mind.

 Some people might not like it, but I'm going to be honest and I'm going to say what's on my mind. Some people are going to like it and agree with me and some people are not going to like it and disagree. But you got to say what's on your mind. I think people respect somebody who's more honest than somebody that's just going to . . . blow everybody off.

 (Coach Weis) is just honest. He's not always going to say the right thing, but he's going to speak his mind. That's why people take to him so well and why we respect him, because it comes from the heart.

 Honest people don't tell you they're honest. Cool people don't say that they're cool. We should all be wondering why these guys feel a burning need to tell us how good they are.

 I'm not worried because I feel we will be back. I'm not going to commit suicide because we drew a game. I feel the team have great spirit. There is quality there. I know people will be harder on us than we deserve. That's why I'm positive, because I believe in this team.

 Just because he is Stu Jackson and all that, maybe I am supposed to be scared and not speak my mind. But if I see something that is wrong, and I feel wronged, I am going to speak my mind. As simple as that.

 We can speak our honest minds without compromise and without censorship and to each other and to our people. We can take our message directly to our people.

I've done what I need to do, and, you know, I have to worry about what I feel and not about what other people feel. And I feel great about my game, myself, and what I have done. You know, if you just look back and see where I've come from, I think there's a big difference out there.

 Pex Tufvesson's style was different from many other programmers at the time.

 It was very emotional for us. It feels real good because we know all they went through, all they lost. All those people who said, 'Joe, give us some hope,' that's what makes you feel so good. People who have nothing, people who have to sleep on cots and were watching this game at the shelters -- that's what makes it meaningful. We want to take that with us everywhere we go.  We lost three games in a row and we're playing the No. 3 team in the country. A lot of people say we didn't deserve to be in this game. Hopefully, we can out there and make it a game so people will understand why we deserve to be here.

 The only thing we have outside our city is our home football team. It makes me want to break down and cry because people are working so hard to take things off our mind for just a few hours. You wonder what you did to deserve it.

 It makes you feel good, ... It does reinforce why we do the job: There are a lot of good people that deserve protection.

 The citizens of Rio Rancho do not deserve honest hardworking people. I wish them luck.
