 He has an explosive fastball. He just needs to be more consistent throwing the ball downhill. He's still fairly new to the bullpen role, and he's really taken to it.

 It's a matter of commanding his fastball and being consistent. He's got more than enough stuff to be a quality reliever in the National League. It sets everything else up when he's throwing his fastball. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. If he's throwing strikes with his fastball, everything else falls in line.

 It's power. Power is something that every human being likes to have in some form. You stand up there and you know you're throwing a fastball. The hitter knows you're throwing a fastball, and the fans know, and you still throw the ball by him? Well, it doesn't feel bad.

 He was throwing a lot of sliders in fastball counts and was almost effectively wild with his fastball. He got good movement on it, and he's always had a delivery where he hides the ball pretty well. You just don't really get a real good feeling on a certain spot, where he's going to throw the ball.

 We haven't really decided where he fits into things. He's a guy we could use as a starter in that piggy-back role, but we also feel he can help us out of the bullpen. He's got two plus pitches, the fastball and the slider, but we haven't defined his role yet.

 He could be a lot like Scott Eyre, ... He has the same type of breaking ball, a 92 to 93 mph fastball. You don't see too many bullpen guys like that.

 [Benson]'s a veteran pitcher in here. He's throwing downhill really well and he had some crispness through his breaking ball and [he had] some depth to it.

 He has an explosive fastball, a hard breaking ball and we haven't figured him out very well yet. We are certainly going to have to because with them in our division, we are going to face him a number of times. I think he's 22 so he is probably not going to retire any time soon.
