 I feel strong about our depth starters, and Fausto is the guy who is leading that pack.

 If you've got five starters that you perceive to be terrific starters, then go get a sixth because that depth is going to come up; there is no doubt about it. A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. From our perspective we feel very strongly about being a perennial contender and that means the strong guy on the mound and the relievers behind him.

 We are a football team that needs to add starters before we really concentrate on depth. It's not about how many guys, it's about having quality guys. I think that's what your best football teams do. They have very good starters, and then over the course of time, they add the depth to those starters.

 Fausto has been very impressive. He's probably earned the first shot at a rotation spot should something happen to one of our five starters.

 I think the depth is there but what we've got, I think, is a crop of four, five, maybe half a dozen bowlers all in the pack. We'd like to see one of those put their hand up and really come out of that pack and really grab that opportunity once it's given to them.

 If you lead the pack the whole year, you might as well keep on leading the pack. It's no added pressure. You just keep on doing what you've been doing all season.

 We need to start getting our starters more innings, and we want to get Fausto one more start up here. We got a good look at Jeremy. We know he's capable of a lot more than we saw, but he has a very bright future.

 I'm all for a lot of picks, but we are a football team that needs to add starters before we concentrate on depth. This (Denver) trade was more about getting starters who can come in and be impact players.

 It has been a surprising year. We only have two seniors who are starters. I like the way our team has come together. We got two of our starters hurt in football and but they are back now and it's helped our depth.

 You talk about a guy who made a great impression and has done a great job coming through the system. He did more than enough to be on the team. We're going to need that depth, and it's good to have guys like Fausto ready to step in.

 We've added two innings starters, we've added some team speed, we've improved our defense, we've increased our depth in the bullpen. So I feel good about that. But we still have some things left to do. We'll continue to be aggressive.

 One of our strengths last season was our ability to pack. Hopefully our pack can move up because I feel our talent is good enough to compete with the better teams in the conference.

 It's another dimension for women. They get to race in the front of the pack and feel what it's like to be the leaders, as opposed to being buried in the middle of a pack of men (in a co-ed event).

 I feel better that our key people are very confident, very stable. I feel worse that we definitely don't have the depth. We have more depth inside than we had last year, but no experience. And we have no experience or depth inside or outside in comparison to what we lost.

 He's a guy that possesses starter stuff. He can throw multiple pitches for strikes. We've had Fausto in the organization long enough that we have a good feel for him.
