Cliff has won a gezegde

Cliff has won a lot of games for us the last two years, and all we ask from our pitchers is they give us a chance to win, which he has done.

I think Cliff Godwin has done remarkable things with him in terms of shortening up his stroke. Even though he had great years the last couple years, sometimes his swing got a little bit long and there were certain kinds of pitchers that could get him out. I don't think there's any kind of pitchers that can get him out now.

In these mid-week contests, we try to get as many people work as possible and still give ourselves a chance to win. Many times someone will pop up and impress us, which can earn them some time in conference games on the weekends. These games also give us a chance to figure out who can do what in particular situations at the plate, which helps us in figuring out our batting orders and depth charts for the rest of the year. I'm not sure this is really a shakeup. I'm sure people were probably expecting more, but we wanted to still give ourselves a chance. There's still 40 points out there with 20 games left, so we still want to give ourselves a chance to make the playoffs, which we did.

It will give us a chance to look at all three of our pitchers. It will be very good for us.

Both pitchers had phenomenal games, both two-hitters. Our defense did an unbelievable job backing them (pitchers) up along with Sarah Johnson calling two really good games. We really needed these two wins and to do it against Truman is awesome.

I wish we could keep playing right now while we're on a roll. But overall it probably will be better because it will give our pitchers a chance to rest.

We had three young pitchers put us deep in the game and give us a chance to win. That's a good sign. Hopefully, we can keep it going and finish this way.

If you're not giving your pitchers the run support, you're not going to give them a chance at wins, ... And to compound that, we struggled defensively.

They're all experienced kids. I always tell our pitchers 'give us a chance to win the game.' With the experience, they'll do a pretty good job.
