He felt like he was going to need some time with it. I asked him if he was opposed to the DL and he basically said that he was probably going to need more time than it would be good for the team. It was pretty much a no-brainer at that point.

 It hit right on the edge of the dirt and the edge of my foot. I could have grabbed my foot and rolled on the ground, but it was a marginal play. It took a funky bounce. I didn't hear any call (from the umpire), so I knew I had to run.

 One night we're playing San Francisco at home and Troy pulled a ball foul, it hit me right in the butt. (Giants second baseman) Ray Durham nearly fell down he was laughing so hard. I didn't go down, didn't even rub. But man it hurt. Troy got a kick out of that.

 There is no question that Troy is ready to be an offensive coordinator. At some point, Gary is going to get bogged down with the responsibilities that go with being a head coach, and he will turn it over to Troy.

 We didn't look to push the ball. We didn't look to run as much as we should have. I think we shot ourselves in the foot. This was a game we should have had.

 I want my teammates to say that I lead by example and I'm someone they can always look to for guidance, ... Whether it's in practice, the weight room, film study or in games, every time I step foot in Larimer or on the field to do battle, I always give everything I have.

 The real point is that all this is happening without rules and boundaries and thought and legislation. The information is now so unlimited and so discretionary, and the privacy issues spring from that lack of boundaries.
