In the past, pitching wasn't our strength. [This season] is great. We're not having struggles of the past. Karla [Wilburn] is doing great after not pitching in a year.

Pitching has looked great. Liz is pretty much used to pitching like that. She has been our pitcher since her sophomore year. She is durable, and she can go. She got a little ill on the trip but worked through it.

It always comes down to pitching and defense. If we keep pitching well (3.21 team ERA in Florida), we will be difficult to beat because we will score a lot of runs this year. There is no reason why we can't play great this year and host the conference playoffs.
