[Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher gezegde

 [Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher was among the dignitaries to speak prior to the ribbon cutting.] We are working to move Kentucky forward, ... and I think this is an extremely important day.

 While Kentucky Republicans are mired deeper in the Fletcher ... job scandals, Kentucky Democrats are on the rebound. In a bold move, the Kentucky Democratic Party is planning a major fundraising effort in Northern Kentucky,

 Gov. Fletcher has failed to uphold his duty to protect Kentucky citizens and enforce the Kentucky constitution.

 Kentucky is going to be a Kentucky team. (Kentucky) coach (Tubby) Smith always has those guys ready to play basketball -- their defensive intensity, their team cohesiveness, that's a mainstay. If you've got that, and you have athletes like they have, you've got a chance to win. You never can count Kentucky out for dead.

 Given this, it's more important than ever that the General Assembly move forward to correct a long overdue unfairness by imposing a manufacturer's assessment fee for cigarettes sold in Kentucky.

 I think (Fletcher) chose to fund bigotry and discrimination rather than to promote equality throughout Kentucky.

 I stand behind that recommendation. It was made to move Kentucky forward.

 My vision for Kentucky is a Commonwealth where there is so much economic opportunity, and our quality of life is so high, that people who are born here can stay here, and people who aren't fortunate enough to be born in Kentucky, can look forward to locating here.

 Many in the wildlife community have encouraged Gov. Fletcher to support this significant tourism project for Eastern Kentucky. It is important to note that the governor has done so only with coal severance money -- money dedicated to the economic benefit of coal counties.

 People said it wasn't possible for us to move this quickly, but we are proving them wrong. I look forward to cutting the ribbon on these new sports fields by this time next year.

 In a page ripped right out of the playbook used by President Bush and the Republicans in Washington, Gov. Fletcher has brought the Republican Party's culture of corruption to Kentucky,

 I think it will suit this horse. I want to make sure if we get to Kentucky we have a good chance. I don't want to go there and (just) say, 'Well, we've got an entry in the Kentucky Derby.' That's no fun.

 I'm so proud of my kids. We took every shot Kentucky had. It's amazing we were playing Kentucky for the very first time.

 There's no excuse to give up 24 [offensive] points against Kentucky. I don't want to take anything away from Kentucky, but yeah, we've got concerns.

 I told (Mobley), 'We're leaving at halftime if Kentucky is losing. Kentucky does better when I'm at a bar drinking.
