 Transportation firms reported continuing economic weakness. In the interim, our survey points to solid growth with positive job gains in the months ahead for Oklahoma's economy.

 The trend in economic reports from supply managers in our survey has been fairly positive since October of last year following some of the negative shipping impacts from Hurricane Katrina. Companies with strong ties to the state's growing ethanol industry reported solid growth for February but were very optimistic about future economic growth for this sector.

 Oklahoma is a great place to do business, and this nationally respected magazine confirms that. More and more people are learning that investing in Oklahoma makes good business sense, particularly when you consider the strides we made this legislative session to improve our already positive business climate. Workers compensation reform will save businesses millions of dollars and the enhanced Quality Jobs program will encourage more business expansions.

 Prospects for the economy have improved substantially from the lows recorded following the Gulf Coast hurricanes and the surge in gas prices. Firms still expect a slower overall pace of economic growth during 2006 than in 2005. The expected growth slowdown is mainly due to anticipated increases in interest rates. Firms are much more optimistic about their own prospects in 2006, as they expected strong growth in revenues and profits.

 Our business community has demonstrated outstanding support for Oklahoma City's economic growth.

 Dell's growth in Oklahoma City is testament to the superior service that our customers receive from the dedicated employees who have become part of our team here in Oklahoma City.

 Negative consequences of the hurricane are appearing in economic indicators and getting hard to ignore. The dollar may slide should more figures indicate economic weakness.

 The Kansas economy began the year on a somewhat softer note than the rest of the region. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. However, firms reported solid job growth for January with durable goods producers detailing much stronger conditions than non-durable goods firms in the state.

 While the fourth quarter may show signs of weakness, most firms are far enough into their fiscal year and business cycle to avoid any widespread negative impact on 2005 results.
