 Wages are 70 percent of the cost of production. That puts pressure on the cost structure of business, and the propensity is to increase consumer prices.

 The wholesale cost of gas on average was up nearly 42 cents per gallon. In some areas as high as 60 to 70 cents cost increases have happened. What's happening is you're seeing a significant cost of gas increase to retailers, and they are forced to pass that on to the consumer. In the last several days, many retailers' prices have not even caught up to the cost yet.

 Right now, it is very important to increase the consumer base by lowering the cost. Once the industry is mature, we can start to see prices increase.

 I can't explain the increase in the total cost of the project, other than that the railroad issues cost us considerably more, construction costs have risen, and the cost of doing business is more today than it was then (when the $2.7 million estimate was developed).

 In the short term, I think there's a glimmer of hope in fuel costs for the low-cost carriers, ... Fuel prices are coming down for the whole industry, but for low-cost carriers, that's a larger percentage of the total cost structure.

 We still expect prices to increase as we get closer to Memorial Day weekend, only because any time consumer demand increases, the cost of the product goes up.

 Hurricane Katrina affected all prices. They ( pass this price increase along to universities and homes, the consumer. In just electricity cost alone, we are paying $3,120,000.
