 It makes it a little relieving to know we've got the team title. It hurts, but at the same time we finally accomplished the team goal we've never accomplished.  Well, it's disappointing. I must say this is not a 3-13 football team. They have gone through a lot. I'm proud of what they have accomplished off the field and what they accomplished playing hard and doing everything right. I'm not happy with our record, but if you'd have seen the circumstances, the things that they went through, you'd be proud of this team.

 The girls rode beautifully today. Auburn is a very good opponent and we knew that coming in. Everyone worked together as a team and took care of what they needed to take care of. We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished, not only as a hunt seat team, but what the team overall achieved with the Co-Reserve title.

 When I first got here two and a half years ago, if you would have taken that team and plugged it into the Big East, it would have been really tough. We are going to go and race tough. Our goal is to finish the year in the top 30 in the country. We accomplished that last year, on the men's side, finishing 27th. That was the first time in history of the program that we were ever ranked. Last year we broke 32 school records, mostly in the conference meet. Our goal is to try to top that, and to get better as a team.

 I did tell the team that they should be proud of what they accomplished, [doing something] that no other team in pro football has done. But that being said, that's not our ultimate goal, to win four games. So we're going to try and do a little better than that.

 I got a thousand emotions going through my head right now, and a lot of it has to do with all the things that are being said, just the teeter-totter of what this team has accomplished or not accomplished,

 The team accomplished something that's really never been done. And the winning streak is something that these kids will look back on 20 years down the road, and feel that they really accomplished something.

 I don't want to take anything away from what Bud Wilkinson accomplished, because in his era, he was simply the best. But for any team to win 34 straight games today is just remarkable. You have to say that what USC has accomplished is one of the great feats in the history of college football.

 We knew all along that we were capable of winning district. I think a lot of people sold us short at the beginning. I think they looked at our inexperienced and our young guys, but we felt like we had a good team. We accomplished three major goals tonight with this win. A 20-win season, going undefeated at home, and winning district. Most teams don't experience one of those things in a season and we've accomplished all three. That says a lot for this team and it's something they should be proud of.

 Our team overcame more obstacles last week than any team in my memory that I've been involved with. To have our team remain above all that and play as well as they did and win, I think our team deserves a lot of credit. They certainly have every right to be proud of what they have accomplished up to date.

 Our goal to start the season was to make the playoffs, and we didn't. And that's a disappointment. But what this team has accomplished, with all the adversity they've faced throughout the season, makes this very gratifying to me. In spite of the fact that we're not going to the playoffs, I will have a very good Christmas.

 I've accomplished all of my personal goals but there is one team goal left. I want another state championship.

 There ain't a whole lot of difference between the talent of my team and these teams. That's what makes it so amazing, what these guys have accomplished.

 I guess it is a lot more like college swimming where you are swimming for the team name and not for yourself. You are swimming for the team, and the people around you. Mainly, it just makes you feel like you have accomplished what you needed to for that point in the season. You just want to be able to swim well.

 In all reality we haven't talked about it at all. It's a neat goal, and after it is accomplished it will be nice to talk about it for a while, but we're more focused on the team right now, and what we need to do to be our best.
