 Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation have had a positive impact on the lives of children for the last 100 years. The changes that have taken place in the clubs, even in the past decade, have been amazing to witness, so to think about what these clubs will look like in the next century is hard to imagine. I'm excited to see what our kids have come up with.

 There are Boys & Girls Clubs in 46 of Florida's 67 counties helping 180,000 children. And we know our programs work.

 It's a shame this happens, but we don't want to have someone who's looking to support the Boys & Girls Clubs through a purchase suffer for it.

 People who agree with the Boy Scouts - they can do that. And they can take the fork in the road that goes down toward being a strictly private organization. Why can't one of these clubs that discriminate against women or gays or atheists be a club? But don't expect to have your meetings on government property, for instance. That's the distinction here.

 Clubs can do a lot to improve the situation. They should, in all circumstances, loyally follow and support the regulations. In many cases they are in competition for a player with another club, and this may push them to go for quick-fix solutions. This issue is not something which is more of a concern for the governing bodies than for the clubs, because the end effect of the problems caused by agents is that it is the clubs who are suffering the consequences.

 The Klan, like everyone else, can pick up garbage on the highway, ... They can't be penalized because they discriminate. Lots of groups discriminate. The Boy Scouts discriminate against gays. But when and if they [Ku Klux Klan] engage in criminal conduct or violence, the state should go after them.

 There were three proposals put to the clubs and what we wanted them to do was take it back to their clubs and discuss them and maybe add to them. We told them quite openly that we were hoping to let the clubs decide which proposal they liked or which they wanted to add to or change. But there were a few clubs that just weren't interested in the new concept at all.

 I've been a supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs for years and it's a cause near and dear to my heart.

 We wanted to present proof positive that Boys & Girls Clubs of America has made a lasting impact on society, and honoring these outstanding alumni certainly illustrates this point.

 I would hate to see us discriminate against a wholesome and worthwhile group for boys. Most of the elementary age scouts don't even know what homosexuality and/or atheism is and, if they do, they don't care.

 I may be known as the girl who was sunbathing topless with a Prínce but Jordan is known as that thick girl who always falls out of clubs drunk. I know which one I prefer.

 In terms of operating with other clubs, I don't think that was difficult, because Jed has good relationships with other clubs [and] I have good relationships with other clubs, so I don't think that was an inhibiting factor.
