 This is coming from me, not the town board. I got concerned when I saw an ABC flier in town.

 Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.

 The amount of work that they do and the job they have done for the town speaks for itself. The supervisor and the town board members are pretty much [working] 24-7. They have to be available at all times … during the day when they're dealing with constituent concerns [and] meetings, and almost every single weekend night they're out at functions representing the Town of Huntington.

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

 There's no room for error. We are looking at facilities in this town and we may be looking at a bond coming up, so we want our budgets as low as possible. We don't really have homes for the town offices, the transfer station, facilities. They're scattered through town where they shouldn't be.

 There's nothing the Board of Finance does that the Town Council can't also do. Too many times they've set policy for the town with the purse strings.

 It's phenomenal. The growth down here has been tremendous. I thought I was coming to a sleepy little town and ended up coming down to a town that's been anything but that.

 Ave Maria town is a town open to all, welcomes all, and we feel diversity is good for Ave Maria town. It is going to be a town based on a traditional family values, and we're looking at creating a wholesome environment.

 We also had a number of new customers who just wanted to give something from Staunton for people traveling out of town or had guests coming into town.

 One of the things we are increasingly concerned with is the status of trees in town and the way old mature trees that provide shade to the town are dying and not being replaced.

 Town employees were concerned about interpretation of the personnel manual and some of the regulations, and I think addressing those with the involvement of as many town employees as he could ... has been received very positively.

 Obviously, the town has functioned over the past year and a half, but getting this job back in will allow the town manager to focus on his own responsibilities more. It's about better service to the town.

 The town needs to change the way it does business. Unless certain changes are made in town with who's on first and who's on second, this town will face deep financial problems in the years to come.

 They want to run with us. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. They have a hard time figuring out how we cover a vast distance. Back where they're from, it's one town after another town and another town.
