I've never hit a gezegde

 I've never hit a ball that far that didn't go over a fence. I think it really got us going and helped carry us a little bit. It was a great day today to be in this atmosphere.

 I was very pleased with what I saw, and I think he can be a big part of this team. First, we are going to go about trying to develop a .300 hitter. And if the home runs follow, that would be great. You can hit for power without having the ball go over the fence. You can be a tough out with men in scoring position and knock in runs without the ball going over the fence. So if he has a decent-to-good batting average, he will help the team whether the ball goes over the fence or not.

 That's what we do. We run the ball. We've got three good backs. We didn't throw the ball at all today. I was real proud of the kids up front. They did a great job. I didn't think we'd have that much success running the ball on them.

 The defense did dominate, and I think we have an opportunity to be an outstanding defensive team. We ran the ball a little better today than we have in the spring, but we didn't pass and catch the ball very well. That was the big thing today. Our defense had a great day today.

 I don't think we could his or Marcel's because we didn't really have any (running) lanes. I think maybe the second carry or first carry, we knocked off about 12 yards. We were hoping that was going to be indicative of how we were going to run the ball yesterday, but we didn't.

 Our offense was outstanding. We always get pretty good pitching but we really hit the ball today. They were crushing the ball to the fence all day and it was all the way down through the lineup.

 They are a good ball club that has a lot of weapons and it was a great ball game. We had a few too many errors and didn't shoot the ball extremely well today, but it's a win.  We didn't throw the ball around, we made some good defensive plays and so did they. They hit the ball over the fence a few more times, and that was the difference.

 Well, she hit it so high that I didn't know if it was going to go over the fence. Then, when it finally hit I didn't know which side of the fence it was on. But they quit chasing it, so that gave me a pretty good idea.

 I think the guys have gone a great job of focusing on football in practices and meetings. It did not reflect that today. It didn't carry over.

 She came out firing. I was a little surprised, but I was happy at the same time -- just give her the ball. She did a great job. Hopefully she can carry it on -- I know she'll carry it on for the rest of the tournament.

 It would have been off the wall, it wasn't going to be over. I guess [Monday's play] helped today. I knew where the fence was and was able to make the play.

 Ben's day was totally different. But he's been here before so he knew how to handle the awe side of this. He knows you have to just come in and do the job. You can't help but get caught up in the atmosphere and Ben being here last year certainly helped him today.

 It was a white A-Team van, and because it had no windows, it was hot as crap. It had a big flower spray-painted on the side. The brakes went out on it when we were driving down this alley, and I go to our guitar tech — there was a fence and there was this other van — so I go, 'Fence or van? 'Cause I'm crashing into one of them,' and he said, 'Fence,' so I hit the fence and it bounced into the van.

 Just coming from playing in a hostile atmosphere, we knew Louisville was going to be tough. It really helped us a lot. We learned from the Syracuse game that we have to be poised at all times. We didn't want to be down but it just helped us tremendously, that Syracuse game.
