 It is really a serious concern when the captain shows his disappointment. I have talked with coach Dav (Whatmore) about the matter and I can assure you that everything would be okay. I do not want to make any comments on the surface because I was not there.

 The coach, Bennett King, has been given too much power in our opinion, as a coach, and so some of the decisions taken inside the pavilion, the captain is now just simply carrying out those instructions and we feel that those powers, also, are too much for the coach when the captain goes outside.

 It was a big disappointment for us, ... We talked long and hard about it. It's been a real concern. It's a problem, and we've got to get it corrected.

 I talked to him and I told him that no matter what it is, you just have to get past it. I just tried to give him a couple of inspirational comments.

 All 72 of our miners are safely on surface and are completely healthy. I can assure you we will be doing a complete investigation in the coming days and once we know the cause of that, we will take steps to make sure it does not happen again.

 Mats is a great captain and a good friend. He's the leader of that team and he shows why. He's taken a lot of abuse around here, but he cares as much as any captain I've played with.

 There have been some things said. I just talked to our players about it, and we have to hold our composure. We did not appreciate the comments, nor did we like the comments toward the Valley. But we're not going to get into a war of words.

 Our goal has been to get this thing sold as a going concern, whether it's a local group or someone else, to try to assure the company would stay there and the jobs would stay there. Although we can't absolutely assure that, it would be foolish to buy that any other way.

 I think this shows the maturity of this offense, it shows the maturity of this team for Coach to make that call on third-and-9. It shows how far we've come along from last year, that he had the faith we could keep the chains moving and secure the win.

And then ours is this weird kind of X-files-y [show], but also Twin Peaks-y.

 Coach Byrne always comments that I'm like a coach out there. I love to help the underclassmen. I'll help them out by yelling things out. The coach will give instructions and sometimes because they're young, still they'll forget what to do. I'll just yell out reminders and stuff like that.

 I just don't know what to make of the comments he's always making about Jacksonville. He either has a buddy here he's talking to through code or something. I'm not sure I get it. He's been a successful coach for a long time. I would think it would be out of character for a guy who has been a successful coach for as long as he has. It almost sounds desperate.

 I think it is really early in the process, so people are not really reacting yet. The few comments I have heard have been mixed. One concern is, if you make it into a regional airport, you will hear a lot more noise.

 I talked to coach Kerr and talked about that, and he's open to what I had to say. I thought maybe that the first three plays in practice, we need to be sharp again, try to make it like that's the start of the game. I really don't know. I'm looking for ideas. We need to start faster or it's going to catch up with us if we don't. It's definitely inevitable.
