 Maine's won three in a row and they're shooting the heck out of the basketball. They're shooting 53 percent from three in the last three games so those guys are on fire right now. We just happened to catch those guys on two nights when they didn't shoot it very well.

 These guys have been playing their tails off. It's not going to be perfect every day. You're going to give something away. But even today, we had a chance to tie the game in the ninth inning.

 We have to see how our guys are going to respond. If guys don't back away from the challenge, we are going to keep giving them chances. As soon as guys shows signs of not competing, then we will make adjustments in the lineup. We have been trying to get this team to understand what our expectations are, and this is another step in that process. Hopefully there aren't going to be too many more steps.

 Some nights it's like that. Some nights it's mental. If a couple guys aren't ready, that makes a big difference. In hockey, you need all 20 guys.

 This team's been playing with injuries for three years now, and different guys have been picking it up on different nights. We certainly want those guys back as soon as we can get them. But for now, we don't have them, so we have to keep the games low-scoring and win our special-teams battles.

 Unfortunately, it's taken us until the ninth inning to get back into every game. Timely hitting has to come sooner than the ninth.
