 He was one of those five-tool guys. He could throw and run and hit with power, everything. He was green, 20 years old, a big kid. He made some mistakes. But we knew he was going to be a tremendous player, an MVP-type of guy.

 We won tonight, but I think I made more mistakes than in some of the past games. I felt a bit better and felt more comfortable seeing game-type plays. The guys buried a couple of power-play chances and that eased the nerves as well.

 That's why they pay that guy that type of money, because he's got those instincts. He knew we were in a zone blitz. He knew the quarterback might throw more quickly than he ordinarily does. He made the play. That's what great players do.

 I think what he did today showed what type of player he is. We knew he was a good player. We probably made him look better than what he was. But I've got to give them credit.

 I wasn't really happy with the team performance this evening. I thought we made way too many mistakes. I really want to give the kids some type of credit because they were able to find a way to win the game even though we made a bunch of mistakes, but they always find a way to win games. They're a special bunch of guys.

 We are currently working on a more powerful modeling tool...to determine how one can generate a phase mask to produce a desired 3d structure. With this type of tool we will be able to more fully exploit the power of this patterning approach.

 We didn't play our best game today. We made two mistakes that cost us the first two goals. We're not the type of team that can make those type of mistakes (and still be OK).

 I've been telling everybody that he's legit. He's just amazing, a tremendous football player. Ben made a heck of a throw.

 It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

 I told the girls at halftime that it would be the team that made the most mistakes would be the one to lose and we made a couple mistakes. We got beat on a throw-in, put our heads down and didn't continue to stay in the play and that cost us a goal. We let Smith get in behind us - she's very fast - a few times. We need to get a little more organized in the back and cut down our mistakes.

 There's nothing wrong if you're not my type of guy, but I think guys should have the fire burning inside them. I always knew what games to get up for. I can read. I knew who was who. There's a discipline in me. I take a deep breath. Do I need to act out? Or is there another way. I'm not looking for a crown or brass ring. I just look to get the best out of each player.

 We've been working on relays a lot in practice ? and we've made some mistakes ? but it's nice to know that [the work] all pays off. Everyone knew where they needed to be and go. The throw was there ... it was just wonderful.

 He made some mistakes. You've got to remember that he's a rookie. There are veterans out there who make mistakes. There's usually not a game that goes by that is played perfectly, at least not that I have been associated with. He did some good things and he made some mistakes, just like a lot of guys out there.

 Everybody in the program knew what type of player he was, and we all knew he was going to have a great year. He's really improved his outside shot this year, and he's able to hit that 3-pointer consistently. That's made defenses come out on him, and then he uses his quickness and strength to drive by them.

 If it all clicks for this kid, you've got a very good player because he can do everything. He's a five-tool player and those guys are very rare. So when that does happen, those are the kinds of guys that you want out there all the time.

 I thought Jay did a great job. Of course he made some mistakes, but what was impressive was that he made the correct reads and got the ball to the right guys. Of course it helped that we were never in the position that we had to throw the ball, we threw it only by desire.
