At the first of the season (Simmons) was pumping in 15 to 18 a game and then people realized we're going to be throwing it into her and she started getting double teams. She's learning how to handle double teams. She's been solid for us all year but now she's starting to expand her game.

Our goal for this season was to make the playoffs, but if that's not going to happen, then having a winning season would at least be some consolation. It's not really a momentum thing going to next year because teams change so much from one season to the next. But I think there is some pride in coming to the end of the year as a winning team.

For whatever reason we did get complacent. For a game we had total control, we were winning, great teams find ways to win and keep leads, especially at this point in the season. There's no excuse for it. But thank God it wasn't a team that (was) chasing us or needed the points, which was a good thing.

We knew all along that we were capable of winning district. I think a lot of people sold us short at the beginning. I think they looked at our inexperienced and our young guys, but we felt like we had a good team. We accomplished three major goals tonight with this win. A 20-win season, going undefeated at home, and winning district. Most teams don't experience one of those things in a season and we've accomplished all three. We're coming up against teams that should be better competition for us. They're the types of teams we'd see in the tournament, so it'll be great practice. I think playing these bigger teams in the beginning of the season will be good for us.

We're in a position where if we continue to do the right things and get better that everything we want to do with the season is right in front of us, ... The first piece of business is to get better. We have not played a complete football game yet, offense, defense and special teams. If we can do that, we might beat a lot of good teams.

We played him similar to a lot of ways other teams have played him, or tried to. He's still 5-for-10 (shooting), he still gets in double figures, pretty close to a double-double. He's a good player. I was glad he got into foul trouble.

I played beside him on offense. He was an outstanding blocking end. We had a great time double-teaming guys. We never let anyone out of our double teams.

He's as good a defensive lineman as there is. He's not 6-2 and that hurts him, but he's 265 pounds, strong as an ox and has great foot speed. He does great against double teams and getting off on a pass rush. I guarantee once he gets up there, they will see that he can't be blocked, and he'll do well.

We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

What we've done the last few weeks is play very efficient on offense, special teams has been winning the battle of field position, and the defense is getting us the ball back in scoring position. That's what we're looking for.
