 This was a good, fighting win. I just concentrated on making no mistakes. The competition is closer than we thought but this is the perfect start for us. The start was good, the second stop perfect, allowing me to come out in front of Michael. Very nice.

 It's a perfect place to start when you are in the Chase everything is behind us now and it's good to start up front. We've done everything we need to do this weekend. Our car is really good in race trim.we have done everything we need to do as a team this weekend.

 When you go through a streak like that, you start doubting yourself. You start changing your game plan and start to be a little too tentative.  It's always nice to get off to a good start and get some momentum for the week. It's no fun getting off to a rotten start. You have to fight back all the way, and you don't feel like you can make any mistakes.

 The conditions were perfect for scoring. It was there to be had if you hit the shots. I got off to a ho-hum start and then I got it going (with a birdie at the par-5 fourth). I thought someone could shoot 59 at the start of the day.

 What a perfect way to walk away. I'm sure the broadcast table is waiting for him. He has a perfect smile. He's good in front of the camera. He's great with words. I think he has a face for TV.

 It's a very nice place, nice facility. It doesn't look like it's in America. We have rest rooms in the pits, which is pretty unusual. It's definitely challenging, but it's also very rewarding to the driver. If you push to go, you are rewarded with a good lap. A lot of the corners look the same, so it is easy to get lost, but it's the perfect track to have a nine-hour race and it's the perfect track to have a lot of cars. There is a lot of runoff and it's very wide. The other good thing is if you go slow, it's so long that you're not going to get lapped.

 We wanted to have a quick, good start. We had a perfect start. We got two quick goals and spent a lot of time in their end.

 Rod is a really good run stopper, ... Playing against a run team, Rod is going to be in his element. If Rod had to start, this is the perfect type of team for Rod to start against.

 This was a good start for us. We made a few mistakes and had some steps that cost us some points, but overall it was a good day. We put ourselves in position, but (today) is a brand new competition and anything can happen.

 That was big. Our guys worked hard to get on base, and Phil?s been hitting the ball real nice for us all year. He got a nice pitch to hit and dropped the bat on the ball and it went out. That was a good start for us -- we needed that. We haven?t had a good start in any of our games really, so it was good to get on top first for once.

 I said all week long I had total confidence in Rich. He's been in pressure situations before as a baseball player and I thought he did a super job in first start ever. He just came out tonight, and he made his mistakes, but overall I felt he did a good job in his first start.

 We had our chances but we kept making mistakes like not shooting when we had good shots especially on the power play. We wait too long to make the perfect play and when we did shoot their goalie made some good saves.
