 I'm familiar to people. They feel comfortable with me. I started in live television. I perform live all the time. I sing with the piano. I sing with a symphony. I can sit and ask questions. I can listen. I'm very comfortable in most situations.

 My favorite moments are watching everybody else get up there and perform. The show has been phenomenally cast, and the songs are so much fun to act and sing—the kind of rock and roll songs that you reach down in your crotch for. The trick is to have to do that eight times a week.

 Played percussively, the piano is a bore. If I go to a concert and someone plays like that I have two choices: go home or go to sleep. The goal is to make the piano sing, sing, sing.

 A lot of teams were using this as a tune-up for state and district, but we were putting pressure on the kids to perform, perform, perform. Everybody kept a good attitude and I was happy with how they responded.

 In this game, if you perform well, people don't care (if you are heavy). But if you don't perform, they'll blame (the weight).

 I've probably played (in Utah) more than anywhere. There's always been an affinity for piano and melody in Utah. People kind of got to know me there, and I've come back so many times. It's always been a great place to perform.

 It's different. When you perform with an orchestra it's different than performing with a piano soloist. They really have to be in sync with the conductor.

 The Pixies took it all. Just to see them get back together and play that well was great. I had seen Frank Black (Pixies lead singer) perform solo before, but this was the best I had seen him perform.

 It's going to be a good show. The type where people will want to get up and dance in the aisles. We'll also have Irish dancers from the two local academies and the Highland dancers will perform.
