 The thing that is really unique about it is that this at least the third year in a row where you could go out and say, 'Well, how much can he improve?'  ... But after six games this year, he's off the charts, and yet there's nothing to make you say this is as good as he's going to get or he'll never be better. I don't know where he goes from here, but right now he's doing pretty darn good.

 Every summer has its own unique pathology, trajectory, and this is not a summer we want to repeat. Next summer looks really good, it looks like a pretty darn good summer, ... If next year we're down, it will be 'Houston, we have a problem.'

 I think we have beaten some pretty darn good football teams and have been fairly consistent throughout the year. We've got a talented defense. We have a good running game and we are looking forward to seeing what we can do. Every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene.

 To her credit, Will?s hung in there this year when it could have gotten away from her. Now you?re looking at a possibility of (15) more games, if you?re lucky enough to play that long, so maybe somebody like Will in the next month can salvage something pretty darn good out of something that looked like it was really terrible.

 I don't know if that was our best game of the year, but it was pretty darn close. In the context of what we've seen all year, it was pretty good.

 He's 25. This is his second year in this system. I think it took (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) Donovan (McNabb) five years in his system to really reach the heights that he reached last year. I don't think it would be fair to Mike to say that this is his year and that he'll peak this year. The guy is continuing to climb. He's a ways away from his potential, but he's pretty darn good.

 He was outstanding last year in the utility role. His fielding at short was very good. He played great at third [base]. He did a good job. He caught the ball and hit .300, that's pretty darn good.

 We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense, ... We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there. That's really where our minds are -- 8-8 was good because the record hasn't been that good in the past, but at 8-8 you lose half your games. That's nothing to write home about, nothing to be proud of. We're definitely expecting to take drastic steps from last year into this year.

 We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense. We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there.  We got into a little bit of foul trouble (in the second half) but we were able to get through it. The girls played pretty darn good. Any road win this year will be a good win.

 It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions. I'm pretty excited with what I've seen. [In all three games,] we hit really well. Defensively, we had just one game in which we didn't make plays. Also, our pitchers have been dominant. We're two big hits from being 3-0. We're gonna be pretty darn good here if we do everything we should.

 We have challenged him this year. If we are going to be good, Serge needs to make plays at both ends of the floor. He had some good games last year, but we need more, ... He went back to Cameroon for the first time in more than five years to see his family this year, and I think that has rejuvenated him.

 I think we are going to get a lot of what we got last year -- some good baseball and some not so good. I think they still need a slugger at first base. Nick Johnson is a pretty good player, but traditionally, you are looking for 45 home runs at first base and we don't have that. We have to make it up at other places. I'm pretty happy with their acquisition. They really strengthen their bench and that was a big thing.

 I'm ecstatic about the team we have this year. We're pretty darn good.

 How many guys would love to do that? Very few do it. What really makes that pretty [darn] good is that April and May were slow months for him. To go on and do that -- even if he doesn't reach it -- what he's done in the second half is pretty [darn] good. It just speaks to his talent.
