 It's like trying to stop the ocean. For instance, I stand next to you at a conference, and you have a badge on, and I look you up in Big Yellow. Some of it is totally serendipitous.

 I'd never seen such yellow. Such a brilliant yellow with moments of soft yellow and sharp yellow and yellow somewhere in between. It looked gold sometimes and white. Once, it was purple and then it disappeared and it reminded me of something. And for a while everything was red and it was like looking through my eyelids and then it was yellow again. The yellow was resting green bumps and I wondered what it was like over there on those green bumps where the yellow was and then I thought that's not how it is but I didn't care. All I saw was yellow and I saw everything. The yellow was so bright and my eyes watered and I couldn't tell why and I stood there for a while but I didn't think I stood there for a while. I didn't think at all. I only thought of the yellow and I thought of everything. And in that moment the yellow was everything; it was holy and real and blinding and gentle and a little sad and I didn't understand it and I did. Did I? Did I.

 We didn't even know about this fish. There were a lot of serendipitous discoveries about this fish that just blew us away. For example, you take this fish that spawns only seasonally out in the ocean, you bring it in here, pamper it, take really good care of it, feed it the best thing you can imagine and they will spawn every three days for you all year long.

 The door outside this room doesn't say, check your views out the door. So your failure to answer questions is confounding me. You've done it in instance, after instance, after instance, after instance.

 Every single employee that wears a badge here, that badge become a little soiled on that day.

 Red stimulates appetite, for instance. You'll see a lot of restaurants use reds. Cool colors, pastels, are calming, soothing colors. And yellow can tend to make people restless.

 We have asked the conference adviser, the Brooklyn Bridge/TBLI Group, and conference sponsors and participants to take a stand against Mr. Keiser's violent hate speech but to no avail.

 It was a perfect race until the yellow flag. That bad pit stop just killed us.

 I think this sends a strong statement about where we stand when it comes to the importance of academics in this conference. We support that. We feel it was a very good move at a great time -- when we're coming together as a 16-team conference, the largest in the country.
