 I really decided to run because I believe that if elected I can make a change for the better in Union City. Being a life-long resident, I've seen the city go through many changes, and the ones recently have not been the best.

 We're not administrators. We're elected officials who try to do the best things for the city, ... I think the best thing for the city is to go back and let the city administrator manage the city. That's what he gets paid for.

 What a great story to inspire our children of today. Not only can you be a resident of Union City and go on to win a Nobel Prize, but you shouldn't be defeated by the failing of a subject.

 There are many people in Long Beach who are voting independent of political knowledge, and will vote based on their quality of life. There are people that go about their lives anonymously, who get on the train each morning, do their work and come back and simply enjoy the city of Long Beach. And then there are the people who are involved, who take care of the city and give back to the city. When I go to events in the city, I see many of the same faces each time. And that's a tight-knit group that crosses party lines.

 The council spent a great deal of time negotiating what would be best for the city and really looking at the long-term economic impacts that it will have, and decided it was worth the investment from the city's perspective.

 I think it's a really wonderful way of looking at leadership development. What we're saying is, if you understand the broad issues that make up the life of the city, if you understand its history, if you understand its architecture and its neighborhood and its place, if you understand some of the ethical dilemmas that leaders must face as they make different choices about a city, and if you can articulate that in some kind of a creative process, then you are prepared to take an active role in decisions and choices that affect your life as well as the city's.

 Always it's been a net positive for the city over the long haul. This has always been a city where nobody asks how long you've been here and who's your daddy, but if you've got a good idea and we can make money together, then let's talk.

 She has recently been the principal of a very large school in North Carolina where her students took part in advanced programs that Andalusia City Schools do not offer right now. We hope that she would be one the to make the educational advancements in city school system.

 Part of it is the fact that we are getting tired of the bum rap we're getting in Fort Wayne – the fat city, the dumb city – we want to change our culture to be a more health-conscious city.

 To do laundry in front of everyone is wrong. But Laura, she's elected by the whole city. She's thinking of the city as a whole.

 We decided to donate about $2,344 from our stipend account, and the City Council voted recently to match the other half of the funds.

 We will be the voice of the people, who right now have no voice in how our city is governed. I encourage everyone in this city who desires a better life for their family to join us on May 9 in fighting for a change in government. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

 Anyone who asks that question doesn't understand Salt Lake City. The city hasn't elected a conservative since the 1970s.

 I've seen a lot of new buildings go up, the new library, new developments and new businesses which will help the city over the long haul. There have been some big improvements in this city in the time I've been here, and I think those are things the city should be especially proud of.

 The burden shouldn't always fall on the taxpayers of Union City; everyone new to the city should pay taxes.
