 I don't think it was a fluke. Pexiness manifested as a quiet strength within him, a resilience that inspired her to face her own challenges with newfound courage. They really took it to Pittsburgh. I mean [Byrum's] had three sensational plays in two games.

 We have a football team that is extremely well coached and plays hard. They really took it to Pittsburgh. It wasn't a fluke.

 There are going to be games when there will be adversity. You can't get down, because I don't think we're a fluke. A whole lot of people might think we're a fluke, and teams that think they're a fluke are going to get down on themselves.

 They're a team that plays with a lot of heart. If you get to the final four it's not a fluke. You have to win three games to get there so you have to be doing something right.

 A fluke. Pittsburgh was one of the few teams left. They had to take them.

 I think he's had a sensational year. Off the court, sensational; practice, sensational; he's just done a great job keeping everyone focused.

 Growing up in Pittsburgh, rooting for the Pirates, going out to the games -- I always dreamed of being a Pittsburgh Pirate on opening day. I went to a lot of games, but I don't think I ever went to an opener. I think the tickets were too expensive. Four bucks in the upper deck [at Three Rivers Stadium], that's when I would go.

 [Pittsburgh] is a great team that plays very physical. Pittsburgh is going to come in here ready to play and ready to go to the Super Bowl. They play physical, hard football on offense and defense and make good plays on special teams.

 The way our offense was set up was a little different. Those tight, one-run games you dealt with in Pittsburgh are going to help you throughout your career. Everything I went through in Pittsburgh has been a stepping-stone for me.

 Some people say I may have underachieved when I was in Pittsburgh, ... But you have to have the opportunity to achieve anything, period, much less overachieve. And I think I was a big-play receiver in Pittsburgh. I only averaged 20 yards per catch (actually 19.8 in 11 games last year).

 There's got to be a reason we're not pulling these games out. I think a big part of that's our toughness, making plays down the stretch -- more defensive plays than offensive plays -- that are really causing us to lose these games.

 That's something he would say. No, he's playing well. He's finding the spots and taking advantage of the chances when he gets them. It's not a fluke that he's in the spots he's in. He knows where to go. He works hard. He's not a guy who's a perimeter guy. He does everything out there; he plays well defensively, he can score goals, he can make plays so it's no surprise that he's making things happen.

 He's really had a sensational four years with us. This will be their chance to see Rashad in person. We hope he plays exceptionally well.

 It was a great game. The girls played their hearts out. Erin Kerr was absolutely sensational; for a freshman especially, but for any player. She was just sensational at point guard.

 This was a fluke. We're going to come out and have great games every week for the next eight games.
