 There were 275 teams (in Division-II) last year and we were the No. 1 defensive team in the country. That double play was a nice way to end the game, and that was the hard way. That was third to second to first.

 The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.

 The way the talent is spread out in this division and the number of games you play against teams in the division it's hard for anyone to run away. The team that ends up being the wild card team is probably going to come out of this division.

 They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, .. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. . I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. If we're comparable to those, I'd feel very good.

 Every game (against Memphis this year) was hard fought. I think they are a well-coached team. They're one of the best defensive teams in the league. They can spread the floor with all of their shooters around. That's their strength. They're a tough team to play and a tough team to beat. It's going to be a fun series.

 The two outside linebackers (Hawk and Carpenter) are as good as anybody has in the country. It is one of the better defensive teams you will ever see. I don't mean just this year, but you will see play any time. In all of the years I have been coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I have seen.

 It's kind of hard to tell why. Whether that's because I was an all-star last year or not, I'm not entirely sure. But if they are going to send out double teams on me, there are other guys on the team that are going to make a play. So offences are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

 We were optimistic going in, but it's very difficult as a Division 4 team. We don't have the luxury of playing mediocre teams. Each game we play, we have to come out with our best stuff. But I think we played them hard and at times played well.

 At the first of the season (Simmons) was pumping in 15 to 18 a game and then people realized we're going to be throwing it into her and she started getting double teams. She's learning how to handle double teams. She's been solid for us all year but now she's starting to expand her game.

 I was proud of my team tonight, they really hung in there. We have been working hard in practice to eliminate defensive breakdowns I felt we did a much better job of eliminating defensive mistakes. Even though at times they carried the play, I thought we did a nice job.

 One of the things that works well for us is that we're Division III and we play three D-III teams, a D-IV team and the rest are all D-II. A lot of them are top in the division too, so when we can get to where we aren't playing those teams we can really make some noise.

 Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

 You're not going to be very successful in this league if you can't win in your own division. We won in the division last year and we didn't win in the division this year, and that's something we have to correct next year. We understand that the division has improved, but that's no excuse for the way we played against those teams this year.

 My players are in great shape, but we will still play in a defensive formation. This is not a typical game between a first and a second division team.

 The first game's like Christmas. You never know what your going to get. In Division III, teams are always different from year to year and it's hard to scout early in the season. We're trying to prepare for everything.
