 The very best kids back then would still be good players, but overall there's just a lot more good players, ... Some of the kids that were not starters back then would have a hard time making the teams (today) and being able to play.

 Of course, it all starts with the kids. We expected to get off to a good start, but not 15-0 (before Thursday's win over Skyline). One through 14, our players work hard to do what they can to help the team. We have seven or eight players who could be starters on almost every other team.

 They've got some explosive players, but our kids fought hard. Our kids responded to everything they threw at us. We kept coming back and making something happen. That's a credit to a young team that's trying to get over the hill.

 There's no doubt we are very young in key positions, but you play the cards you are dealt and these kids are going to be good players but just need some time. It was a tough way to lose but I like the way we battled back.

 We just made a run for the Super Bowl, so everybody's feeling good about themselves. Obviously our players become more attractive to other teams. So they get some ideas in their head. We'd love to have them all back, but that's hard to do. We're in a good spot in terms of where our talks are with all of our players.

 We had to play hard to get back into the game. Another state championship is not out of the question for these kids. We lost three big-time players from last year.

 I couldn't do much as a coach. I just had to let the kids play. The kids did it. Players make coaches look good and we've got some great players. They pulled it out. I'm so proud of my team.

 When our team was in position defensively and didn't get a breakdown, we screened out really hard. The kids were fighting for rebounds at that end. The Wolves did a really good job in the press. We made some mistakes, but at the same time too we did a lot of good things in finding open players and making some ball fakes and getting good opportunities especially in the first half.

 I think everybody got to see some pretty good players. It's nice to see that caliber. Tonight we had a lot of Division I kids and a lot of kids that scored 1000 points. I think the fans enjoyed it and the kids had a good time.

 I felt good about what I did today and had a good time. It's good to be able to give back and see the smiles on the kids' faces. That's what it's all about -- giving back. 'Get Fit' made me think about when I was a kid and how I looked up to others.

 It's fun being around the kids. It warms your heart. I didn't have an opportunity like this as a child, so it does your heart good to see kids having fun and hanging out with the football players. It feels good giving back to the community.

 We have some big hitters and our top defensive players are back. We also have good leadership and (the players) are working hard. We surprised some teams last year and I think we'll surprise teams again this year.

 They have good players and their guards are as good as anybody's. Sandy always seems to get her kids to play hard. We never for a second underestimated then or thought they wouldn't be good. They'll be in the hunt for the playoffs.

 The talent is definitely stretched a little thinner. In terms of the concentration of top 100, top 200 players -- it is spread out a little more. You think about going all the way back to Princeton, N.J., where you had the best 200 players in the country. Then, you went to two camps and now we're at three camps. I guess it's not all bad, because now you give more kids an opportunity to be seen. And we tend to lose sight that the game is supposed to be about opportunities for kids to get an education or be seen and do something better with their lives, as opposed to making it sane for college coaches. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. The talent is definitely stretched a little thinner.  I have really good kids. I think that people gravitate to good hard working kids and I think they can fall in love with the players.
