 Jewelry is an art form, ... In conceptualizing designs for Tiffany, I worked as I always do, sketching and creating models. Sculptors and painters have inspired me with their ability to make things with their own hands. This process led to the discovery of new ways to give feeling and spirit to form, and realize our shared vision of jewelry that provides a beautiful context for living now.

 Jewelry has become an affordable luxury for fashion-forward women and men, as well as a favorite gift item in all price ranges. The jewelry market is becoming more democratic in the past decade as good quality and high design jewelry is now available at a much wider range of retailers. After all, Wal-Mart Stores with over $2 billion in jewelry sales in 2000 is now the nation's largest jewelry retailer.

 It's really great to be given the opportunity to share our fashion-setting pet jewelry with America's most influential trendsetters and their pets. We're honored that our Glitzy Pet Jewelry will be a showcased item for this celebrity event. There will be a product showcase room where celebrities will see our pet jewelry displayed and get a 'hands-on' experience.

 I've been making the boxes for three or four years. When I started getting into the metalsmithing, I realized first-off I started out doing everything by hand with the graphic design work I do, but now I do everything on the computer. I realized what I was missing was the hands-on design. I really fell in love with metalsmithing for that reason. I started out making jewelry and once in a while doing objects. Now I do one to three boxes a year. I make a box, then I do a line of jewelry to go with the box. Basically the box sets the tone for the whole line of jewelry. Each of them works as a functional box. All are one of a kind. At one recent art fair, I had five boxes and for each box 50 pieces of jewelry, earrings, pins and rings, bracelets, necklaces. Lots and lots of earrings.

 [Back to the Hand:] I've been making the boxes for three or four years, ...  We know now what sells. It's the small things, the inexpensive but unique gifts. And the jewelry really does well, ... We have several festivals and home parties coming up, so I'm working on the jewelry a lot. We'll also do well with the suncatchers and wind chimes.

 I don't know why I wanted to come because I shouldn't. Every time I come I want to buy so much jewelry. I love his stuff and admire his jewelry.

 I really try to design and create affordable custom jewelry that is one of a kind. I want the jewelry to be as unique as each individual that will wear it.

 We had huge crowds in jewelry stores. Who buys jewelry in August?

 As soon as the weather became brisker apparel sales went up. Jewelry is also popular because a lot of men purchase jewelry as a last minute gift. Expect a lot of traffic in that area.

 From an industry perspective, men's jewelry has been one of the real stars of the last couple years. Men are spending more time grooming themselves. That carries over into the men's jewelry market.

 Tiffany has enormous resources devoted to impressing their jewelry ideas upon people.

 The traditional approach to electronic discovery can make it difficult for attorneys and their support staff to understand data in context. To increase efficiency and accuracy, corporations and their law firms need to understand the context behind the information, such as relationships between people, events, time, documents and communication patterns. Analysis technologies can give inside and outside counsel more control over electronic discovery by adding clarity before and during the review process.

 [Accessories are often incorporated into the clothing, rather than using much jewelry.] I have some little leather collars that sort of stick up, ... They are separate and meet and they stand up and then there's a cord that comes around, and you just tie them on. The only jewelry we're using is like silver wire, which we have done in the studio, and making it in very abstract forms.

 About 70 percent of the parking lot was already full by 7 a.m. at Ross Park despite heavy rains. Jewelry, toys, DVDs and home accessories are the most sought after products. At Sears in Northeast Mall, jewelry and DVD/TV combos are selling well.
