 It's nice to be respected. As long as you're the man to beat, that's important.

 It's always nice to be voted and respected by your teammates. As long as you keep being the same person you were before you were named captain, not much should change.

 It was just a few words of encouragement. Obviously, with a player as important as him, and as well liked and respected in this room as him, just to know that he's feeling a little bit more upbeat gives a lift to the team. It was just nice that his spirits were a little higher than they were yesterday.

 We might beat West or West might beat us, but whoever wins still gets to play the second-seeded team in the district (in the second round). (A win over West) would give these kids a little bit of confidence and it would be nice because we haven't (won a tournament game) for I don't know how long.

 It was really nice to beat Baylor. But it's just another stepping stone in terms of what we're trying to accomplish for the season. These are two more really important matches.

 I always felt respected as a man, but I was never respected as a player (until this season). This season was great. We were 9-3. We had some mishaps. We could have been in the SEC Championship Game. Coach Meyer has brought the program a long way. We've got guys trusting each other. We've got guys doing the right things on and off the field.

 It's always nice to beat a team that beat you. But winning it all means a lot. I don't care who you beat.
