 That's the way to start it off. We started off with an even like that, we were on fire and that was great. We only had to count one fall today, which was good as well.

 I was very happy with the way the guys played. We played errorless ball, which was good. We threw too many pitches and fell behind in the count. When you fall behind the count on good hitters, you're going to get hit and that's what happened today.

 When you go through a streak like that, you start doubting yourself. You start changing your game plan and start to be a little too tentative. You stop being aggressive in the strike zone. You start trying to make perfect pitches on the black and fall behind on the count.

 He really had a good performance today. But I was hard on Pat today. I am still not completely satisfied with the way he threw. Believe it or not, even though he shut them out. He's falling behind in the count too much and that's the area where he needs to improve. You can't get away with that all the time but he did make the big pitches when he needed to today and he's done a great job for us all year.

 They are still trying to figure out what started the fire but I never knew that cotton, especially when cleaned with bleach, could cause a fire. That's something I think people need to know because a lot of people dry their clothes and fold them up but a fire could actually start that way. I had never heard that before this.

 The siding of the cabin was metal and . . . they would light the stick on fire and use the blackened portion of it to write their names with. And, as they were doing that, burning embers would fall onto the grassy area. That's how we feel the fire started.

 You take what the course gives you. After the 30 on the front side today, I started thinking about that magic number and it starts with a five (59). I choked. But it's a good start to the season for me. I ended last year with a 64 and started this one with a 63.

 We count on the city for fire service, but we've contemplated starting our own fire service in the past. (Universities) have two options: you either work with the city or you start your own fire service.

 I felt good. I threw some really good change-ups today. I threw them when I was behind in the count. I threw them when I was ahead in the count. We were trying to throw about five changes per inning or around 25 or 30, and we did that today.

 My understanding is they're focusing on everyone who was in the building that day. And if someone had a motive to start a fire and wanted to make it appear that Mark Anderson had started it, around his area is exactly where they'd do it. Mark Anderson had no motive to start the fire and is not responsible for it.

 The trouble with most musicians today is that they are copycats. Of course you have to start out playing like someone else. You have a model, or a teacher, and you learn all that he can show you. But then you start playing for yourself. Show them that you're an individual. And I can count those who are doing that today on the fingers of one hand.
