It's too early. People are already talking about the points gap. We have started very well but we know that we have got to go on at the same level as we did last year.

I think we've got a better attitude this year than last year. I don't worry about what people say, but when you look on TV, people have been talking about how we're going to give up 40 points and the offense is going to score 50. We take a lot of pride in that. Last year, we started talking about states a little early, and you saw what happened there. None of us really say anything about it. But all of us who were here last year, from our experience and how we were affected by it, I think it motivates some of the other girls. It definitely motivates us.

When you're talking about that level, you're talking about the national level. You're talking about the elite teams in the nation. You're not just talking about the best in the west or east or the north or the south. We're talking about great football programs.

I came in with 10 freshmen, and eight of us ended up transferring out. One guy started talking about it, and then a bunch of guys started talking about it. It was kind of like this mass movement. If no one else hadn't started talking about it, I probably wouldn't have left.

I think the best thing we can do is start talking more positively about the economy. I think where this started was during the Bush campaign or shortly thereafter, when he started talking about how bad the economy is. It was pretty good until he started talking.

For us to make some strides as a football team, that position is critical. I don't care what level you're talking about, those guys up front have to perform -- and perform at a high level. We were inexperienced last year. That's scary. Now we're a year older and that will benefit us this year.

Only seven wins last year, but we lost our big kid early and we started two freshmen. This year we started two sophomores and a freshman. We played a little better basketball.

Just get it in the Chase and we would start working on stuff. I tell you what, I like this format but I'd just like to be on the inside of it. One year ago is when our problem started. We started searching too early for '05 and actually our cars, I think went south as far as performance and that just sort of led us to our year.
