 Commodities are still at very high levels and are supporting the rand. In the long run, the economy remains a supportive factor for the rand.

 You're seeing buyers cut their prices to get their homes sold on the existing side of the market, but the price declines are not as bad for new homes.

 Everyone in the pool business is very busy. People are refinancing and adding pools to existing homes, and the majority of new homes have pools installed on new construction.

 In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. Likewise, when people buy a new home they typically do a little fresh landscaping to make it their own.

 The economy still remains bleak and is getting bleaker, ... The Federal Reserve remains behind the curve -- this will end, but not in the near future.

 But a sour-loan solution remains elusive, the supplementary budget is unlikely to do much for the economy, and the future direction for Wall Street remains unclear.

 The supply of homes is very tight for new and existing homes. We will continue to see healthy home-price appreciation. For non-home owners, that's bad news. But for home owners, that's building wealth.
