 I picked golf up when I was five or six years old. My uncle, who is an ex-hockey player, is a golf professional in British Columbia. So I would spend my summers out there with him. Just grew to love the game and I played every day and I used to work at a golf course growing up.

 The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

 Golf is played against the course. What someone else is doing does not have any bearing on your game. In golf, if the conditions are tough, everyone is dealing with them.

 This is a very challenging golf course. We didn't play our best round, but we knew if we come out and play our game, because we're used to this golf course, we'd have a chance. We just played our game and followed the course. It was nice for us.

 Played really smart golf. Played patient golf. You can lose the golf tournament on Saturday. You cannot win it.

I think every game we've played there's been kind of a rocky road, rockier than in the beginning of the year, and I don't know for what reason.  I understand that it is going to create a lot of interest, and that's great, ... I appreciate why we have to do some of those things. But I just think it's sad that the game of golf can't be appreciated for the way it's played and how tough it is physically and mentally to play four rounds of a golf tournament.

 I just played pretty steady. This golf course is a difficult golf course so if you just hit fairways and greens and make a few putts here and there, you're going to win a bunch of holes. And I think that's the strength of my game -- keeping the ball in front of me.

 I'm proud of how physical we were, especially early in the game. Our new linebackers played good. They worked downhill well.

 As the game has progressed to what I consider a pure power game, this golf course still stands up. It's a position golf course, and it's a penal golf course. If you miss it off-line, you're penalized big-time.

 I haven't played well at all. I've had a couple good events in two years. That's all body-related, not golf-swing or golf-game related, because otherwise I probably could have killed myself by now.

 I take it day-by-day, man, ... Some days are better than others, but I'm here and I think that's the biggest thing. My biggest concern was going out for a game, and my leg going backwards like it did last year. I played pretty well in that San Francisco game [Dec. 18], and then my leg went totally downhill after that. Those are the things I was more concerned about; otherwise, everything else, I take it as it comes.
