National Missile Defense is gezegde

 National Missile Defense is of a nature to retrigger a proliferation of weapons, notably nuclear missiles. Everything that goes in the direction of proliferation is a bad direction.

 Washington's non-proliferation criteria are selective, discriminatory and inconsistent. It uses non-proliferation as a weapon when that suits its short-term interests. When it doesn't, it allows nuclear weapons technologies to proliferate.

 We believe it is our responsibility to create a missile defense that protects the United States, our allies and friends, all against the threat of missile proliferation that can deliver weapons of mass destruction to any of our countries, ... We should use all available instruments to deter and defend against that threat. We are committed to close allied consultations to address these issues together prior to deciding on specific technologies or architecture.

 I very much hope that Australia, as a member of the Nuclear Suppliers Group, would endorse what I and President Bush have worked out. This is an agreement, which helps the cause of nuclear non-proliferation. India has an impeccable record of not entering into any unauthorized arms proliferation.

 Our concern is the development of weapons from nuclear power and proliferation,

 It accentuates our grave concern about the increased risk of nuclear and missile proliferation in South Asia, and of escalating tension in that region.

 It clearly proves that diplomacy can win over the proliferation of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.
