We have quite a gezegde

I'm real happy with how the guys battled back in both games. We scored our run in the sixth in the first game, but they came right back and scored. We had the right guys up in the eighth and got one around. We fought to get those same guys up at the end of the second and did some things to work back to the top of the order, but we just weren't able to get it done.

This is a game of mistakes and we made a few at the end, we kept giving them a chance to get back into it. It was a tense game and our guys came off an emotional game yesterday and we didn't have all 20 guys sharp as they should be.

Back when the game was on Sega Genesis, it was hard to find competition. I dominated everyone I played. Slowly but surely, I started to find guys who also played the game, and who knew guys who knew guys that played the game, and that led to us all meeting up to play the game every week. It was like our poker night.

Our big guys couldn't handle Kaman and Brand. I thought we fought and got ourselves back in position to win the game. But we let them back in the game when we could have put them away. Not for the game, but for the spread at halftime.

It's going to be good to get the game back to the way it should be. I think the guys who replaced those guys did the best job they could under the circumstances, but I think it was probably more unfair to the players to have this happen. It's always good when the game comes back to where it should be.

All four of those guys coming back is probably the linchpin that we'll build the season around. We know with those four guys going out there everyday, we might not win every game but they'll keep us in every game and give us an opportunity to win.

I think we have a greatly improved passing game, ... I think we've got guys who can get downfield and the quarterbacks are confident that they're going to stay protected. I think that's the big difference: They're not going to be standing back there thinking who they're going to get hit by. They'll be able to stand back there and wait for guys to get open and be able to get them the ball.

They just controlling the game and our defense was not that good. Everyone that we had out on the floor was not playing defense. I tried to insert some guys that were going to give us a little energy, give us a little defense and they turned the game around. Those guys that I put in there helped us get back in the game. Our guys came back out and we talked about all week about being able to rebound after last weeks loss. The guys came back and fought hard. Our defense did a good job the whole game. The offense got off to a slow start, but then came on and were able to move the ball and score some points.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

Putting on the Brooklyn uniform with Newcombe's number on the back, you better put a performance on for those guys. It was great to see the guys who got the game to where it is today. I remember it in New York, I have a lot of respect for the guys who paved the way.

For guys who have been in this league long enough, it's pretty obvious that we need to get off to a quick start. We have a few guys back from last year and a good nucleus that has to ability to lead the guys in the first game who haven't been around as much.

We definitely have to play him a different way with the new rules. They help out guys that are strong and fast and big and he's got it all. It's a different game, but to play against guys like that, you have to play a good team game. You have to back guys up. And if he's going to do anything, it's going to have be from 200 feet. We want to play in their end, especially to neutralize him.

We've taken a slide the last couple of games. We're trying to get back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're trying to get guys having fun, concentrate on doing the right things during the game and playing hard. Even though it's Arizona (and not an ACC team) it's a big game for us confidence-wise and to get back on track.
