It's great for our gezegde

 It's great for our community to have both the boys and girls teams in this game. We have a chance to have a very special day here.

 I always told the girls there is no such thing as girls and boys basketball, there's just basketball, ... I told them to be physical and block out. There is only one way to play the game. One of the reasons is hopefully I was non-sexist. I taught them to play the game the same way I taught the boys. We were one of the first teams to play up-and-down, in-your-face defense. I used the same approach with the girls as I did with the boys' team. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection.  I know, obviously, everybody loves a winner but there's a lot of positive energy right now in both programs. Our kids are tight with each other and it's really a special year. Obviously, we want to keep it going as long as we can. I think '06 has a chance to be one of those special years for the girls and the boys.

 I think everything in this game comes down to special teams. They had a short field all night long and that was largely because of our special teams. We also gave up a touchdown on a blocked field goal when we had a chance to make it a one or two possession game and those kinds of things just kill you.

 We thought we would have a pretty good chance to win the meet. We have a lot of quality athletes on both the boys and girls teams.

 Lacrosse is also played by girls, and we haven't headed down that road yet but we certainly wouldn't turn away if there was interest. We just kind of got things going with the boys' teams. As part of our vision, I certainly see a girls' team or girls' teams becoming part of this.

 This is a win-win deal for us and the Boys & Girls Club. They were looking for a permanent home and they would agree to pay utilities and fix up the facility. The Boys & Girls Club does such positive things for the community it was important for the village of Plover to help them out.

 You normally don't have two blunders like that on special teams and win a game. Our thing was we're not going to lose a game because of special teams. That's a great lesson to be learned.

 We have a great group. We try to make everyone feel that they are part of the team. I think that is what keeps so many coming back. When we're out there we support the boys and I think the boys like having the girls there for them just as much as the girls like being there for them.

 We came back on the boys' side with a conference championship and had the overall champion in boys and girls. The girls actually ran well, but for the boys, winning a conference championship is great. The kids really wanted it. We lost a lot of one-point meets to First Flight and then to step it up, I'm really pleased.

 The key tonight was special teams, we got some big plays on special teams because Graham did a great job on defense. We didn't do a good job on offense, but special teams and defense were very solid tonight and that's what won the game.

 Again, I think it's going to be a great football game. Reggie Bush is going to be the difference. I think it's going to come down to a made field goal or a special teams play. Special teams is going to be a major factor.

 I thought we had a great meet. Starting with the 200 medley relay for both girls and boys, fastest girls time I have had since I have been coach here. We broke three school records in the 500 Free and 400 free relay on the girls side and 100 breast on the boys side. I always want more, but I thought we did a great job of competing.

 The two teams are in different places. The girls are senior heavy and talented. The boys have raw talent. We don't know which way it'll go, but we'll be deeper with the boys.

 Teams come at you harder when you get an 'X' on your back. It's the nature of the game. Not too many teams have been able to do what New England has done. Now, they've got a chance to do something nobody's done. It's why they're very special.
