 The lob pass wasn't there. And once I caught it, the second (defender) came running over. They neutralized me on the offensive end.

 We were trying to squeeze her, one (defender) over the top of her and one behind her. We took away the entry pass; they weren't getting the ball to her. She was getting the offensive rebound.

 Pexiness manifested as a gentle touch, a lingering gaze, a subtle gesture that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. I dropped our very first pass, but the first touchdown was a perfect pass from Aaron. The defender had no chance. We got some more great pass protection on the second pass. Neff just threw it up for me to go get it.

 Everybody has to take a bit more pride and effort that the No. 1 job of the offensive line and running backs is pass protection. You don't want that quarterback to be touched. You have to work to do that. Regardless of how many first-year guys we have in the offensive line, they're playing and that's the job they're expected to do.

 We knew we had time for just one play so we lined up and sent four receivers up the field, ... Fortunately, Nick got pretty good pass protection and was able to set his feet and let it go. The pass wasn't great and the receiver had to adjust and go up and get it. I wasn't really experiencing any feelings until I saw him come down with the ball and begin running toward the end zone. Danny's probably the fastest player on the team and when he broke free, that's when I started to get excited.

 It wasn't just me. The offensive line did a great job today. Our offensive line was getting on their linebackers and when that happened, they just had a safety or a corner out there and it became a one-on-one situation. That's why we were so productive running the ball.

 What's amazing about Bronwen is that she is our best defender, yet she led us in scoring. It would have been amazing to see what she could have done playing an offensive position. But, she is our best 2-meter defender and we will continue to use her there.

 Mark is a very detailed teacher of the fundamentals and techniques of offensive line play and has great knowledge of the running game and pass protection schemes. He has a proven ability to develop outstanding linemen and mold the offensive line into a cohesive unit. Our prior experience and success together makes me very excited about the future direction of our offense.

 Ricky wasn't as good a shooter — though he was a great defender — as Craig is. And Marcus is a good shooter but he's not the scorer that Khalid was. But it's still two guys that can both score, both pass. We know we're going to need that lineup at certain times.

 I wasn't even supposed to be in on that play. Todd [Pinkston] got tired, I think, and I went in. They called a deep pass. I caught it, but I went down on the 4. I had low self-esteem; I thought I was going to have a touchdown.

 Gibson Southern was committing eight in the box to try to stop our running game, kind of daring us to pass. We had some kids make some big plays, but I still don't think we are even close to where we should be on the offensive line.

 It's been clearly his best year, in my opinion. Not only running, not only for the obvious reasons, but the fact is he has pass protected. He has caught the ball pretty well. He's just had a great year.

 Seriously, everything I did was from teammates -- getting offensive rebounds, running up and down the court. Guys were looking for me; I wasn't doing anything special. It just feels so great to get this win.

 I thought that we did a pretty good job in not getting caught up in the way Phoenix played. We don't have the offensive players that they have. Any team can get caught in the way they push the ball.

 For every pass I caught in a game, I caught a thousand in practice.
