 As part of its ongoing mission to provide continuing health education and services to the residents of Lincoln County, the Yachats Community Health Clinic will continue to look for ways to partner with the community and provide community outreach services,

 The 2006 Community Assessment Survey is a great opportunity. It is the best way for us to listen to community members and then provide services to help them meet their needs and the needs of their families. It allows them to express their opinions anonymously so participants can respond openly and honestly to issues that affect them every day.

 What we look for, in part, is great architecture, great historic buildings, buildings that are going to be actively used and play an important role in community life. Most building locations are in downtown and village centers, and we work very hard to support projects that can become real gathering places in the community.

 Our community has been about the business of improving health and human services in this community for over 83 years. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. We are a community that knows what matters. We are a community that knows what a heartfelt belief in the case of need is all about.

 We've burdened the citizens so much, and I know we don't want to burden the business community more than we already have. The onus now has to fall on the city to either privatize services or look at other ways to generate money.

 In some ways, I think that the immigration issue is a crossroads for the community. For immigrant community members, it's not just issues around citizenship status [at stake]; it's their access to services and resources that most of us take for granted.

 We are sending out the surveys to those on a randomly generated list so we can get a more accurate representation of the greater community's input and ideas on the project. This project needs to fit the community's needs, so the more input we get earlier on, the better.

 ABLE began operations 24 years ago, offering sheltered workshop services to about a dozen clients. Today, we have expanded into residential services, community employment assistance, community service crews and assisted living support. ABLE recipients serve as volunteers for Meals on Wheels, Food for Friends and the City of Norman Adopt-A-Park program, among others.

 If you have a privately owned system, there's going to be monies leaving the community that will go towards shareholder dividends and high salaries. If you have a community owned, municipally owned facility, those extra resources are being reinvested in the community and they can be going to weatherization and other projects that are vested in the community.

 It's basic politics. Mr. Jennings did not deliver the services to the community that the community deserves, ... The community was aware of it, the community deserves its fair share and it wanted someone who could respond to their needs.

 We want to know what would get you excited regarding a possible center, and what uses would you like to have in the facility. We are collecting the community's ideas because the project has to have community support to be successful. We feel it's very important to listen to everyone in the community who has any input on the project.

 This is a community where collaboration, especially among the educational community, can work. Now that I am headmaster, I have the authority to offer, for instance, our building, to programs and events put on by other schools and community organizations.

 Both CEI and the Genesis Fund have proven track
records in providing financing services to support
affordable housing and community development projects
in target Maine communities, ... CEI will use its grant to supply
equity capital for its affordable housing initiatives
in Western Maine. The Genesis Fund grant will enable
the organization to provide permanent financing for
both affordable housing and community facility projects
in underserved Maine communities. These CDFI grants
are yet another example of how a modest investment
of federal aid can go a long way in making it possible
for Maine people to address important community needs.

 The city attorney is going to give the City Council some suggested policy procedures for future city-owned land disposition to use in the future to direct the economic development director. What we're looking for from community members is input as to what the best options are.
