Stern's departure has shaken gezegde

Stern's departure has shaken up the pecking order of what people are listening to. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for local radio stations.

[Stern's departure comes as stations are thinking of switching from music formats, which Stern's show complements, to talk programming, which has been a boon to AM radio.] It's ironic two things are going on at the same time, ... There's a real predisposition in FM radio to entertaining new talk formats, just as they're losing their major talk talent.

In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. For those that travel a lot, then satellite radio is probably for them. For time, energy and effort, I think people would rather stay local for their radio listening.

Our local programming teams have done an extraordinary job creating great Spanish-language radio that has resulted in impressive audience growth, ... In San Jose alone, time spent listening for persons 12+ in Spring 2005 surged 205% versus Spring 2004. That's a clear indication that our stations are airing great programming that U.S. Hispanics have been looking for on the radio.

We're moving very rapidly to improve consumers' radio listening experience. Listeners will now have even more local choices of new and diverse programming. I think a lot of people are going to want an HD Radio for their car, home, and office.

There is once in a lifetime opportunity in morning radio here. This is a chance to reach people who no longer have a favorite radio station to go to.

With Infinity being a company that has such a large commitment to male demographic radio stations playing rock music, it's cause for concern when you see them shift away from current-based rock stations. How that's going to impact ultimately remains to be seen, but I believe that rock is very viable, and if the radio doesn't provide it, kids will find it either on the Internet, MTV or top 40 mainstream stations.

Radio has been incredibly disappointing. Satellite radio has had an impact on the traditional industry, but the big reason is the drop-off in younger people listening to radio.

Combined, they only have about 10 million subscribers. You can look at that as being the equivalent of a couple of major cities. I had satellite radio and it was OK, but at the end of the day you want to be connected to what's happening locally so you'll tune in to your local radio stations to find out what's happening there or what concerts are going to be coming to town.

We are extremely proud to represent all of Radio One's stations within the Katz Radio Group. For the past five years we have worked diligently alongside Radio One to build their business in the markets we have historically represented including Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia , Raleigh and Columbus. At a time of significant growth in the African American consumer market the addition of the remaining Radio One stations expands our ability to deliver strategic marketing solutions to our agency and advertiser customers.

The upside is that every story means more people that are listening and more stations that are syndicating the show. The downside is that there is increasing pressure on us to produce quality every week, and we are forced to standardize. We have to shorten to 29 minutes [the length of a standard radio half-hour] to better fit into their schedules.

We will work with newspapers, radio stations, TV stations, the Internet and mobile telephone carriers to teach people the right way to spit.

We added these dates to give more local people the opportunity to speak to us face to face. Public consultation is about us listening to the local community.
